Remarkably this creature looks like red moss for all intents and purposes with just a slight difference when it comes to how easy it was to move the actual hairs. In fact, the simple air breezes move the normally hardened core of the moss with the ease it would have done for hair. Another slight difference is that it is visibly growing towards you....the rabbits and other herbivores seem to notice this and go towards it nibbling at the edge of it. It was probably just a new branch or type of moss undocumented that had an enhanced growth rate...nothing to worry about.....((taken from a message cube found near a pile of rodent bones and a humanoid skeleton)))

Background

Created as a Dumassian repellent of Plant Origins by the ancients of these caves by taking a moss that had no need of the sun and impregnating it with a set of nanobots, this plant was then set to grow and reproduce all over the outside of the caverns. Only one problem existed in this plan, the scientists were not nearly specific enough in what the prey should be for this plant and thus any and all things that moved became target as the years went by....several thousands of years passed as meals became less and less frequent til the point that no longer did anything move in the areas the now massive plant being existed. Like a logicalical creature would it sent out a piece of itself to hunt for new grounds to colonize....this piece found the caverns just as the clock was built and rested there for a second it had thought....of course the second just before Somatie Forgesmith came in ((thousands upon thousands of years after the clock was built)) to fix the now disfunctioning clock.
