In druidic, his name meant “Symbol of the forest” and many a time did the druids try to speak to him as if he embodied the Sylvoresti. This conclusion came naturally if one were to watch Anateon’s life within the forest. Hunting and living off the land, suspicious to the point of being feral, he defended a wide territory he called his own. Living in the safety of the trees for most of his days, he ventured below to investigate any random curiosities or threats that arrived in his terrain. After years of observing him from a distance, the nearby druids began to bring him offerings of food, amulets, supplies, weapons and even gifts such as the studded armor he wore. Fiercely territorial, members of his mother’s race, the elves, would hardly recognize him as having their blood; so savage was he when intruders approached- especially the aggressive members of the gobloid race. If he encountered humans, they would either immediately dismiss him as an animal, or some would conclude he was a ghost haunting the canopies and palisades of the wild. Celebrated by the druids who watched over him (and many thought he watched over them) Avateon avoided all urban settlements and had been known to foil settlements that encroached on his territory. The half-elf had a great disdain for all humanoid-made structures, and would prefer to sleep outside, undefended, than under a roof where no stairs guarded him.
