Logan's family were nobles well respected by the Royal family. Logan showed promise at a young age for magic and so was sent off to the academy when he was 8. When his father and older brother were killed in war a few years later, 11 year old Logan was left in charge of the family lands. He left school to take care of his people and family, never completing his training. He became so busy with not burning down his house that he fell drastically far behind in his studies and began skimming through magic books or skipping ahead whole chapters.

When the King went to participate in the Charades, Logan and many others went with him, leaving the King's Nephew's Second Cousin's Grandfather's Great Niece's Half brother in charge of the country. upon become wounded in a paticularly hard round of charades, Logan was given honors by the King and sent home where he found "Second Prince" Long John, aka PJ, being very cruel to the people. The Sheriff of Rotting Turkey was taxing his subjects horribly and the unhonorable Sir Gal had taken over the Ebonwolfe family estate. Shortly after returning home and reclaiming his estate, Logan openly defied the Sheriff in his condemnation of the treatment of the peasants and was thus labeled a troublemaker and stripped of his lands and his title (which were subsequently given to Sir Gal once more.) Thus, Logan became a vagabond of sorts, attempting to use his magic to take from the rich and give to the poor (or in most cases, take from the rich, and turn into chickens).
