Ereden grew up on the material plane. He was the son of a traveling merchant. He learned from a young age that magical items have a history to them. Someone enchanted them for some reason. The enchantments you find have a reason for being added to the items. Finding out why or deducing why speaks volumes of history. Every item has a story.

When Ereden got bored of studying items as a merchant, he started wandering to do mercenary work, only accepting pay in enchanted items that he could study.
