Personality: Pretty laid back, and logical. Nothing seems to ruffle Z'tan. He's ages old, maybe even as old as S'lar, which accounts for his unending patience. He rarely gets into fights, though as battered as he is, he's obviously seen his fair share of them.

He still gets a little nervous around people, especially is they are 'agressive', or too clingy. He doesn't like getting too close to people, but with Rakesh looming nearby, usually physical contact is a non-issue for him.

Description:
Z'tan is relatively tall for a male drow, standing at 6'1. His build is that of a warrior, broad-shouldered and strong. He's not very flexible physically, but can usually overpower another male drow by virtue of size and strength alone.

His downfall is that he is blind. A fight with a Matron-mother in his past left him sightless. Luckily, with the loss of sight can a remarkable gift to sense the vibrations of people as they get closer. This is dampened by 'fluffy' terrain, like grass or moss, and works best on hard earth. He is virtually helpless in sand. He wears a cloth around his eyes to hide the rather brutal scarring

His skin isn't so much as pure midnight black as a very, very deep brown. This distinction is only made possible in brighter lighting though, so most drow wouldn't really notice. His hair, too, is slightly blonde rather than being silvery or bluish.

His age has shown on him, unlike S'lar. There are clear agelines on his face, and he has lost some of the muscle he had in his youth. He still keeps in shape though, knowing the day he slackens off is likely to be the day he dies.

Luckily for Z'tan, he also has one more advantage. His companion, a deep dragon named Rakesh. The dragon is definitely not going to let anything happen to the elf that raised and named him, if the creature has any say in it!
Additional Information RAKESH:
Species: Deep Dragon
Personality: Loyal, fierce, kinda moody, pretty greedy, acts somewhat like a small child in that he will sulk if not given what he wants. He lets Z'tan get away with anything though.
Appearance: dark blackish-red scales. Bright yellow eyes and inner mouth. The layer of "frills" and membranous crest around neck, head, and down the back are edged in a luminous yellow. Is about 65 ft in dragon form, around 40 in serpent. Never takes a humanoid form, he's too lazy and has Z'tan to do everything for him.

Background

Z'tan was born just shortly before the Sundering, a few years junior to S'lar Vorae, which explains his odd coloring.

Afterwards, his family became one of the lower ranking Houses within a newly founded city. As such, he was not cared for very well (worse than most males, as it were), usually left to fend for himself, unless he did something 'wrong', and then he was usually punished quite severely. This left him with a serious fear of just people in general.

Once S'lar, whom he was separated from for many years, saw his plight, she took him under her wing. It was within the halls of House Vorae that he met Rakesh. Once he was bonded to the dragon, he officially became part of S'lar's House, as the dragon had belonged to them and was seen as 'more valuable' than the male.

He remained a steadfast supporter of S'lar until the fall of her House some many millenia later. Because of the turmoil caused at the collapse, he and many others escaped. They banded together into a small mercenary group, including S'lar's son, Corvus.

Most of the group's operations are above ground now, keeping Z'tan out of the reach of angry Matrons (there are many), as well as giving them new opprotunites in trade.
