Name- Saemon the Buccaneer Race- Human, Northerner (Caucasian) Appearance: • Hair - Ear length, wavy; Black • Eyes - Swirly Cerulean/Stormy when frightened, drunk or angry. • Teeth - White, straight (He says that it's due to the strength of his liquor.) • Fingernails - Neatly cut, a bit long • Height - 5ft. 11in • Weight - 136lbs • Age - 22 years • Skin - Evenly tanned Clothing: • Baggy pants; stained to umber and secured with: • Black, lacquered leather with mithril buckle. • Clean, white, flowing shirt with collar and simple lace cuffs • Tight-fitting, well-cured, black sharkskin boots, which reach halfway up his calf • Flexible, waist-length overcoat made of canvas, adorned with myriad coins, shells and small items of jewelry sewn to the fabric, and fitted with many inside pockets. • Simple black fabric band used to keep hair up. Description: Stands taller than most, shorter than some. His boots are always shiny, oiled every morning and night. His pants reach all the way down to the top of his booted foot, and the buckle that holds them up shines like the moon on a clear night, standing out on the black of his belt. His shirt is loosely tucked in at his waist, and the "V" shaped collar shows a chest that is as tan as his arms and face. His coat, an article made of painted canvas, has laces, which are entirely undone and hanging loosely. The peculiar thing about it, however, is that it sparkles and clinks. It's decorated with jewelry, (a bit of the skulls and daggers persuasion) coins and broken shells with holes through them. Hanging loosely from the belt around his hips are two swords, a long silver rapier and a short cutlass with an eye in the pommel. Personality: • Very dramatic • Quite social, but does spend months at a time alone on the sea. • Very, very friendly. • Once angered, easily forgives. • Fast talker • Secretly: Wishes he had a friend Likes: • Sailing • His ship, the Revelation • Wine • Song • Grog • Potatoes • Pineapples • Lying • Stealing • Cheating Dislikes: • Death (his own) • Being threatened • Fighting to win • Losing things • The Dark Religion: • Believes there are many gods, many paradises, and nine levels of hell. Weapons: Rapier: Shape - Thin steel hilt, intricate filigree hand-guard, long, sharp blade. Abilities: • Cuts things. • [Unknown to Saemon] Will stay in one place when magic words are said. • Weaknesses: Rocks. The blade will not cut through rocks. Oh, and cuts through water are not permanent. Description: A beautiful piece of art, the sword is one of six designed for an ancient king's mountain patrol. To this day no one is quite sure why he gave them rapiers against the clubs and staves of mountain bandits, but if they said the magic word whilst falling, the magic in the rapier would freeze it in place. Hopefully, someone would come rescue them before their arms fell off. The hilt is made of good quality steel, the hand guard is made of mithril, and holds most of the enchantment. The blade is also steel, straight and sharp. It's certainly a gentleman's sword. Saber: Name - Kul Lakesh Shape - Mithril-plated steel hilt with saphire embedded at end. Pommel is jeweled eye of the great wizard Kul Lakesh of the Desert, a mighty eastern sorcerer. The blade is simple curved steel. Abilities: • [Unknown to Saemon] Sentient, Intelligent • Heightens awareness when held. Other Weapons and ‘Special’ Accessories: • Spiky jewelry is easy to remove and fling at people. • Daggers in boots; the ordinary kind • Dagger in sleeves of coat; ordinary kinds • Dagger in belt; ordinary kind Personal Abilities and Teachings: • Trained in the Gentleman's art of fencing, also the less than gentleman art of biting, scratching and jumping at your enemy from behind. (With side studies in kicking him while he's down) • Can sail a ship, any ship • Can tie most of the worlds knots • Can cause your ship to sink without throwing anything at it • Can murder his friends in cold blood • But sometimes these don't apply Tragic Flaws: • Deathly afraid of dying • Poor judge of mood • Can not sneak up on anyone due to sound of jacket |

| Additional Information | Saemon's clothes shimmer, jingle and click in the wind for he has many coins, rings, shells and bits of metal sewn into the fabric. Slack are his vestments excepting where they are drawn in tight at his waist by a belt of brass and aluminum annuli set into a leather band. He wears quite a lot of jewelry on his person, but nothing too gaudy or terribly bright. In fact, most of the jewelry is rather depressing, being made up of tiny knives and skulls and the like. His mahogany hair is held back by a strip of ebony fabric, and his eyes glimmer, each a whirl of cerulean surf. His lips are curled in a jovial smirk. | |

The Pirate Ship Revelation "[Note: Sorry for any bother, but PSR is high fantasy only. This means it mostly takes place in a world that has yet to invent gunpowder.] The Revelation, privateer schooner owned and reigned over by Saemon the Buccaneer. She drifts just outside of the law, so any to board it leave society behind. All tars on board are loyal followers of her captain and would follow him to the depths of hell." |

the cliffside tavern AKA 'Woulfe's Den Tavern and Inn' "Swim, Fly, or Run! by Tobias Woulfe posted 19 September 2006 @ 21:25 The Cliffside Tavern, once a place of gathering to many, and home to perhaps more. This great place stood as an Icon to RP in Ayenee, until the great cataclysm that destroyed the paths of that world. A great many who worked there and frequented there were lost in the upheaval. For over a year, the Tavern has been trying to survive here, its staff watching the empty rooms and hoping for the vibrant patrons which once graced its tables. It has survived, despite odds against it. The feelings that created it pushing it forwards. It is not just created by the Owner, the Keepers, it is created and maintained by all who come there, it always has been. This is a call to all, Newcomers, returners and those who never left - The Cliffside still stands, as it always shall, come to the forums or come to the chat and let its doors swing wide with the ever entering shadows. If none are around to open the tavern, open the room yourselves and enjoy the RP! ~Well said Tobias, Thank you. Just a foot note, The Cliffside Tavern was thought, seen as a run down building at the top of a set of cliffs the summer of 1997. Ten years its been around. Thats a long time for any gaming realm. Thanks all who made it possible. Sirene/Aliesh" |

The Nine Worlds "The One-Tree links a shimmering archipelago of worlds across the multiverse. Its branches expanding constantly, pulsating with energy for millennia. Yggdrasil, so vast, visiting so many planets and realities that no one person can see its complexity. Think of it as the player is both PC and GM. Recruit, explore, and conquer at your whim. All free-form rules apply, including combat. If you want to make rules about finding secret doors, treasure or anything of the sort- it is up to you. I, on the other hand, prefer story playing games to role-playing games for this group. " |
