Stats
A large humanoid, around ten feet tall. He is constructed of stone and mithril, and has an expressionless face. He carries a gigantic spear, and can form other weapons from stone on his arms as if it were clay.

His eyes glow with a magical green light. His voice is deep and neutral, and he speaks in a very technical manner.

He does not show aggressiveness unless he is threatened. Few do so, because of his extraordinarily intimidating appearance. His true nature may or may not be so frightening.

Background

His race was created as great battle golems by a magical military years ago. The intention was that the golems would fight their wars for them. The battles were quick and decisive, but eventually the magical masters destroyed themselves out of greed and fear.

Many of the troopers that were left over from the wars shut down and became inanimate hunks of stone and mithril. Others, still wait for further commands on the battle field. A very few, came to self-awareness, and now try to find a purpose for their existance.

Delos'De was not among them. For over twenty eight years, he stood motionless on the ruined battlefield, soaking in the leftover magical auras of the now meaningless warfare. In rain, snow and sunlight he stood, Waiting.

He was *good* at waiting.

So it came to pass that this Warforged trooper came to sentience on the battlefield alone, well after his fellows had left. He wandered to the Cliffside tavern, where he met Barrak. The dragon asked if he could process alcohol, and pay for it. He returned to the battlefield and took all the gold on the dead corpses there. He came back to Cliffside, but Barrak was gone.

Instead, Genn was there, and helped him to come up with a unique identity instead of a designation. A "Name."

A strange conflict with a magical being helped this name come about. A brief moment of terror that the trooper felt when his consciousness began to fade has stayed with him since that day. He learned to dislike fear, the only emotion he has experienced so far. He vowed that he would forever go through his existance fighting that emotion in himself and others, and being fearless. Genn told him of a word, "Delos'De" which means in Genn's language "fear of fear."

The trooper took that as his name.

"Swim, Fly, or Run! by Tobias Woulfe posted 19 September 2006 @ 21:25 The Cliffside Tavern, once a place of gathering to many, and home to perhaps more. This great place stood as an Icon to RP in Ayenee, until the great cataclysm that destroyed the paths of that world. A great many who worked there and frequented there were lost in the upheaval. For over a year, the Tavern has been trying to survive here, its staff watching the empty rooms and hoping for the vibrant patrons which once graced its tables. It has survived, despite odds against it. The feelings that created it pushing it forwards. It is not just created by the Owner, the Keepers, it is created and maintained by all who come there, it always has been. This is a call to all, Newcomers, returners and those who never left - The Cliffside still stands, as it always shall, come to the forums or come to the chat and let its doors swing wide with the ever entering shadows. If none are around to open the tavern, open the room yourselves and enjoy the RP! ~Well said Tobias, Thank you. Just a foot note, The Cliffside Tavern was thought, seen as a run down building at the top of a set of cliffs the summer of 1997. Ten years its been around. Thats a long time for any gaming realm. Thanks all who made it possible. Sirene/Aliesh"
