Orvis dresses as streetwalker, wearing torn and baggy army fatigue pants with scuffed and worn black-leather boots. A grimy, wrinkled white shirt with the words “I quit” is mostly hidden by a heavy army-green trench coat, which hangs in tatters around his slender body. He habitually carries a dust-laced gunnysack over one shoulder, which holds almost all his worldly possessions. An average-looking man, he wears a baseball cap to hide poorly kept brown hair and shadow over piercing hazel-green eyes. The only thing fancy about him are four pure-silver rings, worn on the middle and ring fingers of both hands… Each one is etched with the symbol of the Justicars, an appointment Orvis barely remembers he’s been honored with.

Background

Orvis grew up as the usual American teenager, with little care in the world. Very few things set the man apart from most of the flesh-sacks that walked the streets, except that he possessed an unusually powerful insight into the workings of things. This is probably what attracted his sire, a renegade Tremere elder. This fleeing vampire saw potential in the young man… Not to be a great vampire, nor to be a contributing member of their kind… But to be a pain in the ass of those who followed him. After being embraced, Orvis was left to wander the world without guidance. Because of his incredible perception, he was able to stay one step ahead of the blood-packs sent by the camarilla to end the affront he stood for. But to no avail… Until, one day, a member of the camarilla high council found him. Instead of terminating the young man, he taught him… Showed him the unique potential he held as a tremere-catiff. And then, as a supreme gag played against his fellow council members, the unthinkable happened. Orvis was appointed as one of the Justicars, the judges of the Veil. Much out-cry went through the camarilla community, but little could be done; he had the backing of not only a high council member… But that of his keen insight. Unfortunately, one of the drawbacks to that perception was a mind that wandered as much as the man’s feet did. He was a hard target for the simple fact that he didn’t stay in one place for very long… And disdained the technology the camarilla had grown so fond of. As much of wanderlust his mind and body held, he remembered to check in every month for any new assignments passed down by the council.

Night Everlasting: Blood on the Bayou
"When the sun sets,, the monsters come out to play. New Orleans; a city of dark jazz, black magic.. And the shadiest of women. No-one is safe from any of their influences. The air is full of mystery and heat, bringing blood and tempers to a boil. Watch your back... For if the night doesn't get you, the alligators just might. (This is a Loosely based White Wolf (ww) game, set in the Old World of Darkness. Because of the graphic nature of the RPG universe itself and this group in particular, we are giving minors fair warning. If you aren't old enough to purchase ciggarettes and porn, you probably shouldn't be looking too deeply here. We handle alot of adult themes, such as cursing, violence, and death. You have been advised. A general description of your character's abilities is needed in their profile. A WW character generation sheet is not necessary, but if you want to add it, put it in your profile. The character generation should be between 13 and 8 to keep things on a more even level for everyone involved. Watch for descriptions of the city to come. Legal stuff: Just because this is a vampire game based in New Orleans, that does not mean this is "fan art" or anything that could take away from any already published books. I do not claim any of the rights to any text owned by White Wolf, Inc. This group is not a challenge to those rights. For actual copyright information, please see White Wolf Online http://www.white-wolf.com/ . If you wish to play the games, you should BUY THE BOOKS! Thank you Silas MacBeth, for letting me use your website.)"
