Lars grinned and drove into St. Louis, the city he had come to know and love. He drove up, and valet took his car. The restaurant was like a hotel, actually. It had a gorgeous lobby with a fountain inside, and everything was made of marble. "Reed, seat for two." He said easily. The man nodded, walking them over too a closed off reserved booth. The lighting fit a dim romantic mood, and the man instantly filled up their wine glasses with a specific vintage and brand.

Jamie smirked a little after the waiter walked away. "This where you take all your girls, Mr Reed?" she asked playfully. She picked up her wine glass and turned a little, looking at the color.

"Nope, just you." He smiled a little, sipping his wine. "I mostly come here alone. I enjoy the ambiance."

Jamie smiled a little at that and tipped her wine glass his way in a mini salute. "Well thanks boss," she teased lightly. She took a sip and then set the glass aside, pulling her day planner out of her bag. "Should we get started then?"

"Woah woah woah no!" He waved his hand. "Close that thing...just for now you're killing the mood with work. We'll wait we'll wait."

Jamie glanced at him with an eyebrow raised, but slowly closed the book. "How does one ruin a business lunch with business, exactly, sir?" she asked teasingly.

Lars sighed. "You're killing the restaurant with business. We'll order, and maybe get down a glass before we start working this out." He smiled a little. "Okay?"
He opened the menu and rested back. The prices were sliightly ridiculous. Nothing was under fifty dollars.

Jamie smiled a little and nodded. "Alright," she said softly. She slowly opened her menu, glad it was big enough to hide her head shake. She looked over the menu calmly, not shocked at the prices. She wasn't paying, after all.
When the waiter came back, she ordered the shrimp with a side salad, then calmly took another sip of her wine.

Lars ordered the steak of course and rested back with his wine. "Good choice." He smiled a little at her. He enjoyed his wine for a long while before looking over to her. "So, how are things besides work?"

Jamie smiled a little and shrugged. "Fine, I suppose," she said calmly. "Nothing to really complain about."

Lars studied her and smiled. "You're as much as a workaholic as I am." He smirked. "No time for personal life?"

Jamie smirked a little and shrugged. "Personal life's boring," she said calmly, although she was lying. Her personal life existed, but it was just sucky. "Besides, who has time for that when I'm always working to clean up your messes?" She smiled at him teasingly.

"I do make a lot of messes." He smiled at her. "But I also have time for wine and steak with a good friend." He held up his glass to her.

Jamie smiled a little at him. "On company time," she teased. She shook her head though and returned his toast. "Thanks, boss."
