Lyne glanced at him and slowly nodded. "Sounds rather well fated," she said softly. "You're lucky."

"So you believe in fate and luck." Skule chuckled a little. "That's rather auspicious. I suppose it had to have been a bit of both. I sure do miss her though."

"Old age, I guess." Skule said. "Same with my daughters." He looked over. "I'm a bit old, sure, but I've barely begun. I have grandchildren and great grand children but I've removed myself from them. They do not need me anymore."

Doran

Lyne frowned a little under her face cloth. "So you aren't human," she surmised softly.

Skule sighed. "Perhaps...not anymore." He whispered. "I wish I was. I wish I had never...cursed myself." He looked to her. "But after my wife died I just...didn't know what to do."

Doran

Lyne frowned a little and slowly nodded. "Have you ever... sought to break the curse?" she asked quietly.

"Yes. But it is complicated and nearly impossible." Skule said. "I'm not sure if it will ever present an opportunity close to what is needed."

Skule shook his head. "I thank you for your concern, but I'll survive." He said softly. "I appreciate the help you're giving now."

Lyne nodded a little. "It is no trouble," she said softly. She paused briefly as they came to a clearing, glancing around. "We should tread lightly, through here," she whispered.

Skule looked to her and turned back, waiting for Doran to catch up. "she said we should tread lightly here."
"Why?" Doran asked, drawing his sword.

Lyne frowned at him and shook her head. "Put your weapon away," she whispered. "We will come to no trouble if you can simply pass quietly."

"What's the fun in that?" He asked. "Seriously, what's the issue I'll take care of it for good."
"Don't be so pig headed, sheathe that sword." Skule hissed.

Lyne glared at him. "Stop, before you kill us all," she whispered harshly. She turned then though, and began to skirt the clearing.
