Tyson, on the other had frowned. "What we're not taking Baby Serenity?" he protested.
Illy smirked at him and kicked him lightly under the table. "I think you're the baby, not the ship."

Kees shrugged. "I don't know. You know the Mako. HUGE ship. It can't land. We'll need a boarding craft of some kind."
Uk'tuve's ears fell. "A new place to scent mark." He grumbled.

Nika shook her head. "But think about where we're going!" SHe said to Uk'tuve. "I mean.. traveling th galaxy for something is very exciting even if we're not taking the baby." She smiled over to Tyson, meaning his ship.

"That thing better be coming with its own pilot," Tyson grumbled. "I'm not flying that fat ass."
Illy snorted.

Kees laughed pretty forcefully, and snorted too. "Yeah! We just get housed. It's the largest hyperspace jumper we've got in this galaxy. But we'll be needed something more menuverable.

Uk'tuve sniffed. "But I just got comfortable here..."

Nika laughed lightly at Tyson and Kees. "Well... we'll get comfortable there too. And it will be fun." She smiled at them. "It'll be something... even more new."

Illy nodded, nudging Uk'tuve. "Don't be such a grumpy face," she teased, smiling.
Tyson rolled his eyes. "Then I guess we better take baby and Illy's hunk of scrap metal."
Illy kicked him hard under the table again, although this time hard. "She's not scrap metal!"
"Looks like it."
"Does not!"

Uk'tuve studied them. "I suppose that was teasing too?" he asked softly. "Well then where do I draw the line? I wish to protect my mate."

Nika looked back over to him. "When and if it gets violent or.. threatening, but Tyson's a friend." She said "And he's not going to do anything.... so..." She shrugged.

"Hey she's the one beating on me," Tyson said defensively. "She obviously doesn't need protecting!" He shook his head and sighed, getting up. "I'm late for my workout." He walked out of the mess hall quickly after that.
Illy looked down at the table and licked her lips, her cheeks heating up from the embarrassment of being called his mate and a bit of anger that he didn't think she couldn't defend herself.

Uk'tuve freckled a little. "Are you alright?" he whispered, putting a soft hand on Illy's hand.

Kees studied all of them with ggreat interest. "Tyson left awfully fast."

Nika nodded and got up, walking after Tyson instead of staying around Illy and Uk'tuve. She caught up with him quickly. "Mind if I tag along for a little bit?" She asked quietly.

Illy took a deep breath. "I'm fine," she muttered. She got up as well and put her tray and his on the cleaning rack.

Tyson nodded, glancing at her once before putting his eyes back on the floor. "Sure, why not?" he said quietly, trying not to vent his anger at her.

Uk'tuve frowned and Kees moved closer. "It's alright there." He said putting two hands on Uk'tuve's back. "She's nice.....but you can't just go saying things like that outloud. Well. Not around humans. Me...I mean you could say I'm a mate anything anywhere and it wouldn't bother me."

Uk'tuve frowned. "Is that what the problem was?"

Nika shook her head. "Sorry I just... really don't like to be around them when they're angry at each other." She sighed. "And I also have to say sorry for Uk'tuve... he's just protective."
