Ramuek snickered a little at Sabrae and shrugged. "There's no one quite like me, beautiful lady." He said with amusement and continued to stroll after the two.

Kian stared at Jaska. As the boy spoke, anger crept into his brown eyes. "You're...you...I just GAVE myself to you!" He yelled angrily, for the first time raising his voice at Jaska. When the boy turned, the elf swallowed hard, doing everything he could to stop from ripping his companion out from under the bed. "You disrespectful little brat..." He growled darkly. "You don't understand the magnitude of what I just did for your stupid, pathetic excuse of a life." He became silent when Jaska told him to leave.

"Of course, my Lord. You ask me to leave and I shall. Maybe being by yourself will make you understand just how big my gift is. Maybe you'll stop being so pitiful and grow up a little." He growled and stood up. A second later he slammed the door shut behind him.

Just as Kian disappeared into his room, Barek walked in. He frowned at the emptiness, knowing Kailyn was in his room. He could hear the boy throwing things around. He went into his own guest room and heard Jaska crying. He sighed heavily...so this was what it was like to have a child. Quietly he sat on his bed and grabbed a book after putting on his glasses. Jaska would come out if he wanted. In the mean time...might as well read. "Page 503..." He mumbled to himself, flipping through the pages of the thick book.

Sabrae smiked. "The type that called me a lady." She glanced back teasingly. "Come on." She said walking over to the pathetic weeping lunatic. Tarzt was dispondant, completely inconsolable. He sobbed heavily and kept shaking his head.
"You're a blubbering idiot."

Imorvir smirked as they drew closer. He bumped and brushed into his Matron lightly, just always wanting to be close to her. He loved how she smelled and carried herself. And she was carrying his child, which made her absolutely glow.

Corvus smirked, trotting after the woman. When they got to Tarzt, the werewolf sat down a little ways away, just watching. "At least he's not begging anymore." He grunted with an air of disgust.

Jaska flinched as Kian lost his temper, feeling the anger simmering through the air. He still didn't move or say anything. He winced again as he heard the door slam. With Kailyn gone, he was able to calm down more. He heard his father come in and get on the bed, and the rustle of paper. After a few minutes Jaska came out. He climbed up on the bed, and curled against Barek's side, his back against the larger elf's ribcage.

His hand, though caked a bit with blood, seemed to have healed over mostly, looking more like it was a few days old rather than just an hour or two.
----------

Narya was smiling her usual amused smirk at Imorvir's behavior. He was unusually sweet for a Drow, at least towards her. But then he had that nasty edge that kept him alive, and feared by at least a good section of the House. And she loved him for it.

When they entered the throne room, Narya as usual sprawled into her chair, looking quite comfortable. She smiled at Imorvir and gestured lazily to the throne on her right, which had remained empty for a good many years.
"He'll be along soon, I'm sure." She said in a relaxed manner.

Z'tan was watching Zebyvyll train against another unfortunate soul, giving pointers to both when the servant came scuttling in, looking nervous and absolutely terrified.

Ramuek grinned at Sabrae. "I simply respect women." He responded before coming upon Tarzt. At the man's mental state of mind Ramuek recoiled a little, as if wanted to turn and walk away. "Stop it..." He said to Tarzt uneasily.

Barek glanced over when Jaska crawled onto the bed with him. He looked back at his book as his son leaned against him in silence. After a few minutes he put the book down and grabbed some of the bandages left on the bed. "It'll scar." He stated simply, not seeming angry or upset. There wasn't much point, what's done was done.

"Hold on." He said and left the room. He came back with the bandages wet. He sat back down and took Jaska's smaller, thinner hand in his rough bigger one. Remaining quiet he rubbed the congealed and dried blood off the boy's injury. There was no questioning or demanding. Instead Barek usually let people decide on their own if they wanted to explain or say anything. Most of the times it worked best that way.

Zebyvyll let out a loud laugh when her partner missed her when she darted away. "Too slow!" She taunted before looking over when a servant came in. She held a hand out to her sparring partner and quickly ran over to Z'tan, looking at the servant with a hint of disgust.

Tarzt doubled over, gripping his hair. He froze, quiet, completely unresponsive. Sabrae sighed and knelt down before him. She hesitated, but ultimately put a hand on his shoulder. "Tarzt." She whispered. "We're going to go see Izzen now. Isn't that what you want? To see your son again?"
Tarzt looked up at Sabrae, hope flooding his eyes. "I found him." She whispered. "You never killed him did you."
Tarzt's brow pulled back.
"N-no."
Sabrae smiled. Score.
"Well then let's go find him." She helped him up and he rested on her, too distraught to realize she was lying to him.

Imorvir sat on the throne and leaned back, resting his ankle on the top part of his knee. He smiled over at Narya, enjoying this sense of power. His cloak flowed around him and the throne regally.

Corvus looked over to Ra in surprise when the high-elf recoiled from Tarzt. He gave his friend's shoulder a nudge with his nose, a 'are you okay?' gesture. He didn't feel like expending the energy to speak right now, words were difficulat to form often times, seeing as wolves aren't supposed to talk naturally, and his ability to communicate by mind was weak at best.

Jaska watched Barek as his father cleaned off the blood. It stung a little, but it was better than the times he'd have to have rubbing alcohol put on scrapes and scratches he'd gotten outside. "Kian tricked me." He said quietly, after a moment.
-----

Narya grinned back at the Patron, "Sort of intoxicating, isn't it?" She purred.

Z'tan watched the half-terrified servant with a look of tolerant patience. He had a feeling, already, that things were amiss.

"Th-The M-matron requires y-y-your sir..." The lower ranking creature managed, "T-to disc-discuss your behavior yesterday," He added in a choked whisper, cringing as though expecting the taller drow to kill him then and there.

Rakesh picked up his head, and let out a warning rumble at those words. Z'tan only quieted the dragon. Very well, Was all he said mildly, I'll be on my way. Zeb stay here and-

"The girl is supposed to come too."

You could have heard a pin drop in the silence that followed, and Z'tan's look suddenly became sharp, the air of dissatisfaction tangible around him So be it. He finally said. He turned to his latest apprentice, Let's go. He said, sounding actually a little irritated. He didn't like where this was going.

Ramuek shook his head at Corvus, waving a hand to dismiss anything that worried the wolf.

Barek frowned slightly as he finished cleaning Jaska's hand. He put the cloth down and studied his son. "I'm not surprised." He said and pulled off his reading glasses. "But you need to also be careful. I know you can trust Kailyn..." He paused. "But Kian..." He made a face, as if having trouble saying or believing there was another person. "He's more selfish, where as Kailyn is selfless. But I also don't think he did this just to hurt you. There's more reason to it. He's very smart...almost as smart as me." He said in a dead-pan voice, displaying another hint at his dry humor.
---
Zebyvyll watched the servant and began to snicker a little. When the man finally said that Zebyvyll was to go as well, she began laughing out loud and she looked over at Z'tan. "How fun." She said pleasantly and began to follow her teacher. She patted the servant's head. "What a loyal mutt you are." She sneered before trailing after Z'tan.

Sabrae sighed and tied Tarzt's hands up. He looked at her confused, lost. He had completely forgotten everything at the mention of Izzen. She looked back to the two. "Alright." She whispered softly.

Imorvir smiled over at her. "In a way, yes." He whispered softly. He rested back and supported his head with his hand. "And I assume we have to sit here for....how long?"

Corvus seemed a little less concerned when Ra shook his head dismissively. He looked to the hapless drow, and turned one ear backwards. This probably wasn't going to take long- they'd be gone a week, or two at the most. He nodded at Sabrae and stood, walking after the woman, still keeping beside the high-elf.

Jaska listened, and giggled a bit at the end, catching the joke, even if Barek didn't show that he was. "Kian said that he 'gave himself' to me."He said, drawing his legs in so he was sitting indian-style. "I think the mark makes me able to control him or something," He looked distinctly uncomfortable with the last sentence.
-------

Z'tan let Zeb catch all the way up before picking up his pace again. She is angry, He said suddenly, If she did not come to talk to us ourselves. And I did not like the lfeelings I got off of her or Imorvir last night when we left. I do not think she will kill us...

He said the last sentence cautiously. He knew how unstable the Matron really was, he could not count on his kindess towards her to mean anything. But it would be wise if you could show some discretion in what words you say. It is alright to be angry- we are mistreated. But it would be better for both of us, if we keep her anger where it is now, if not be able to cool it a little. It is not good for anybody when she is in one of these moods. If we are lucky, what punishment we are given will be light.... I do not want to see you hurt. He added the last part slightly more quietly as they reached the arched doorways that lead to the main hall.

Narya laughed a bit at Imorvir's impatience. "Hopefully not long, I have no idea where he was when-" She tilted her head a bit, as though listening, pausing in what she was saying, before speaking up again, relaxing back down into the throne, "I think I hear them now."

The odd pair then came around a corner, and into the sight of the two royals.

Ramuek walked along behind Sabrae. "So where exactly are we going?" He asked, as if completely ignorant to what was going on.

Barek listened to his son quietly before nodding. "Well...I guess that's what happened then, right? If you can control him now it can't be a bad thing." He said with a hint of amusement in his voice. After a moment of silence he grabbed a hair band from off the table and pulled his hair up and away from his face. He tied the ropes of hair up and put back on his glasses. He looked strangely more powerful and influential then. He looked royal without the expensive clothes and jewelry, which for anyone usually proved hard to do.

"Ramuek and Corvus will be gone for a while, so I'm staying with you and Kailyn." He said, still watching Jaska. "Algeah is staying with us too, in case we have to contact them while they are gone."
---
Zebyvyll half-listened to Z'tan. She'd TRY to not make Narya more angry...but she wasn't going to guarantee anything. "She touches me, then I'll touch her. An eye for an eye, Z'tan." She mused with a strangely mature voice before they rounded the corner. At the sight of Narya and Imorvir lounging on the throne chairs Zebyvyll snorted loudly, finding the view highly amusing. Something just didn't fit with the picture.

Sabrae looked over. "To the underdark. To find Izzen." She said lowly. She hoped that first answer was enough. Tarzt was following them like a lost puppy.
She glanced over to Corvus and offered a small smile as a thank you.

Imorvir nodded and sat up. "Indeed." He said gripping the arms. He glanced over to his matron, eying her pregnant stomach with a smile. This was definetly somethng he could get used to.

Corvus merely perked his ears and wagged his tail a bit at the thanks Sabrae offered, clearly not feeling like this was a huge favor or anything.

When Narya saw Zeb and Z'tan, even though she heard Zeb's snort of laughter, the Matron made no move to straighten up.

"Stop gloating." She mumbled to her Patron as the two drow finally stepped over the threshhold. She then turned her attention back onto the summoned.

Z'tan swept into a bow, as was expected and usual for him upon entering her throne room. What is it you wish of me, Matron? He asked neutrally once he had risen. Narya's sharp eyes did not miss the stiffness in that movement, most of it from age... but then there was the obvious tension in the way he stood. Her eyes glittered- the old drow knew he was in trouble, and was either angry, or afraid. Narya finally sat up, her eyes zeroed in on the blind man like a hawk's on its prey.

"You do realize," She said, "That most people who say the things your ward has, are simply put to death, don't you?"

Z'tan nodded, slowly, and Narya saw something protective cross his face. He drew closer to Zebyvyll. He was so protective of her- that bratty child! Jealousy sank its claws into Narya, shone in her eyes. Zeb had done nothing to deserve his devotion- if anything, she was getting him into trouble! It was her fault what was about to happen, and Narya maliciously intended to make sure the girl knew it.

She is young, Matron. Children often speak what the believe to be the truth. He defended, lowering his eyes submissively. There is no need-

Narya stood, cutting off the advisor, "If she is not punished, she will never learn! If it is not me who dictates it out, it will be someone else, who will not show mercy!"

A great mercy would be to not do this at all! Protested Z'tan passionately, daring to raise his eyes to the woman.

She hissed, drawing back her hand as if to strike. Z'tan turned his face only, offering no resistance. "Do not forget your place!" Narya snarled, "And that is to only do my bidding! You have lost your title, male, or have your forgotten!"

No, Matron. He sighed, letting his useless eyes drop back to the floor. He saw it, in the glimpse he got of her feral eyes, that it would be futile to argue further. I have not forgotten.

"You seemed to have yesterday! Now both you and the child must pay. Z'tan! Kneel!"
-----

Jaska offered a slight smile at Barek's comment about the controlling. He still didn't think it was right... controlling another person couldn't be!... but it was too late now.

He blinked at the subtle change in Barek when he put up his hair. He looked a little disappointed when he said that Ramuek and Corvus had left, but not too upset about it. He barely knew Ramuek, and Corvus was obviously tense and upset, and no fun to be around right now. "Okay." He said simply. He wriggled his toes a bit, looking down at then. "Um. What're we gonna do now?"

Barek smiled a little when the boy seemed unconcerned by anything. He leaned back a little and shrugged. "I'm awfully boring to be around. Not used to entertaining people." He raised his brows and yawned as if to emphasize this fact.
---
Zebyvyll watched Narya with a steady, unbreakable gaze. Her red eyes seemed to follow everything the Matron did with a sense of amusement and pleasure. When she saw a flicker of jealousy in the other woman's eyes. She breathed out a laugh and cocked her hip slightly, her body relaxed despite the situation. She grinned with a strange, predatory smile that somehow remained pretty on her face.

Narya did not bother with Zebyvyll until Z'tan was down on one knee, a wearied sigh passing his lips. She unhooked the serpent whip from her belt, the thing coming lazily to life as the Matron crossed her arms, and looked over at the girl.

"You think this is funny? Alright. I'll offer you a deal," She said, matching Zebyvyll's smile, "Since you ARE a child under Z'tan's care, whatever YOU do wrong, he gets punished for. So, long story short, he's getting a beating," She said pleasantly, "Now, either I can administer it, with my good whip here," She said, patting the serpent-like weapon, "Standard ten lashes, but with three heads, and six fangs, that's fore like, oh say sixty lashes which... for an old man like him..." She trailed off with raised brows, before stepping around the kneeling drow towards Zebyvyll.

"Or, YOU can do it. With a normal whip, no poisons, no glass, or anything else braided in. And still... only ten strikes." She purred, walking behind the younger elf before leaning in to speak into the child's ear, "I guess you could call it a choice between two... lesser evils..." She smirked, and straightened, striding over to stand once more beside her patron. "Its your choice, little girl." She said with a lazy, taunting smile.
------

Jaska looked at Barek disbelievingly, even when the man yawned. "You've at least gotta know some cool stories!" He protested, flopping back onto the bed so he was laying on his stomach.
