"Who could be watching us?" Crizzt asked after seeing Zarae's silent hand code.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jurzzar frowned when he notice something at the partly open gates of the outpost and quickly ducked his head behind the huge stalagmite wondering What is a Drider doing at the gates of the outpost?

"Maybe some of the others from the force that was here? Malayne was still alive, and I doubt all of the others are dead," Zesstra said. She could sense minds that were similarly damaged--and one that was still faintly coherent. "I would suggest we keep our distance from them. But I'd like to know what kind of magic this is. It could be a serious threat."

"Serious threat indeed, who ever attack the outpost did it quick and silent, and left those strange black jars behind," Crizzt said nervously as he studied the closet jar from where he is standing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Jurzzar, when do we get our orders?" whispered a impatient Half-Drow Rogue who quitely came up to the Psionic/Archmage.

"Be patient Zeek, we will get our orders soon," Jurzzar whispered back to the Half-Drow.

"I hope so," whispered a Drow with a cross scar on his left cheek who took a quick peek to the outpost.

she thought she caught a glimpse of a heat signature, and indicated the direction again in the silent hand code. listening, she picked up the faintest whispers of speach. she neared the gate, her hand reaching into the pouch on her belt till it felt the small glass capsule. she didnt have many left, but if those out their had caused this much trouble, then she would be willing to use it.
but she also wanted to be sure that she got them so it wasnt wasted.

"We have to leave very quickly before who ever is hiding over there could react," Crizzt whispered while he is looking in the direction Zarae pointed out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You idiots we should be speaking only in hand code when we are this close to the enemy and right now they are on high alert, Jurzzar signed angrily after he quickly pulled his fellow Drow back.

Then ignite the jars quickly before they are on to you and make good of your escape, a voice said within Jurzzar's group's minds and Jurzzar knows the voice within their heads belongs to one of the Mind Flayers who hired them to do a job.

the slight distraction of their argument was enough for the rogue. she had slipped into the shadows, her heat signature completely hidden by the camouflaging cover of her piwafwi. she had followed the sounds until she could spot part of them in a high ledge in the tunnel (i think). their use of signing was too late and they had grown too careless already, unless that too was an elaborate trap.
still clutching the pellet, she decided to chance it. it released from her hand and crashed upon the stone before them; the rogue simultaneously bringing her cloak around her to shield her eyes from the effects.

suddenly, blinding light as bright as the sun flared in their faces. despite covering her eyes, it cause her to wince in pain from it. and for her companions, they would quickly see the effect and know where the enemies were, and hopefully not be looking when it went off.

((Daylight Pellets: small pieces of glass, rock crystal, or igneous rock coated with grease and covered with clay, then baked until hard. When thrown it shatters on impact and activates a Daylight spell- (causing blindness, pain, and light penalties for drow, ect.))

When the light flashed, Crizzt shut his eyes quickly as he turned his head away and cries of surprise was heard from the hidden enemy.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jurzzar cursed at the same time he shut his eyes quickly while blocking the light with his arm, but the others of his group wasn't fast enough to react to the light flash and got blinded.

Zesstra grinned a little, the familiar smell of a broken daylight bead alerting her to what had just happened. Often she found her blindness a gift rather than a hindrance. The drowess lashed out with her mind at their nearest foe, snapping his will like a twig. The man lunged at his former friends, sword drawn, even if he was blind. Zesstra was using him like a puppet.

Crizzt blinked a few times after the light is gone, but he is ready to take the amazely still sleeping former Priestess of Eilistraee to a safe spot.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soon as he recovered from the light flash, Jurzzar cursed again as he manage to ducked down in time to avoid the sword of the mind-controled cross-scarred Drow from chopping his head off, but Zeek wasn't fast enough due to being blinded to avoid the sword and end up getting his throat sliced open.

Sauron exhaled the flashed being more that just sunlight falling on his eyes"Sunlight? I never saw that." Sauron thought as the unexpected memory sprang up, exhaling he aimed at the rolling drow and fired a shot up towards the ledge. The bolt was deflected as he heard it strike steel. To make sure they could not get a lock on him and to prevent harming his companions Sauron moved slightly away and ignited white phosphorus. A blinding light ignited at the pot where the chemical was located after the fat covering it was removed, gingerly picking up the pot he moved closer to ledge placed it down and rushed back. The light defined the surroundings and him easier to shoot, reloading he took up position.

Crizzt quickly went through the gates of the outpost and head for a safe spot where he'll be out of every ones way.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jurzzar quickly ordered those within his group who where able to recover quickly from the light flash to keep the enemy busy while he work on igniting the jars and then Jurzzar levitated quickly to the highest ledge near by he can get to as well cast a invisible shield to protect him-self from crossbow bolts at the same time.

just before he could turn invisible, the sneaky rogue dropped bluish-green flames of haemless faeire fire outlining him still as he was invisible.
she then moved to another spot to avoid detection.

(is he a main character or just an antagonist here?)

((Don't know yet))

Crizzt found a good safe spot to put the still sleeping former Priestess of Eilistraee down where she wouldn't be seen and soon as he put her down, Crizzt spinned around in time to see some of the enemy heading towards him.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soon as he is on the ledge, Jurzzar cursed again when he noticed the harmless faeire fire on him and quickly cast darkness around him-self and the ledge, and then he quickly moved to the wall and cast a Mage's Eye spell so that he could see what is going on outside the globe of darkness.

'thinks thats gunna work?' she said to herself, as she unsheathed a throwing dagger. she held almost as if testing the balance, tho she knew they were. aiming for the unnatural dark spot on the ledge from where the cursing came from, she aimed. the rogue's throw was dead on for she rarely missed, if ever, what she aimed at.
(it can hit a non-vital area like shoulder or arm, which is what i would assume).
her cloak still hiding her heat signature she kept her back against the a stalagmite and out of range of any missile that would come at her as she unhseathed another blade.
she spotted a few of the enemy group moving to attack her companions, but she focused on the leader still in the darkness.
