RE: Vale of Shadows by Inriiaynrae Jaelre on Wed, 22 Sep 2010 20:25((i think he's doing his own thing...as he has been for most of the RP)) 'stupid wizard,' she said to herself, 'should let those thugs have him.' and she would have had they not attacked her; tho for now, she was gunna see what the thugs were about. seeing Sil and the innkeeper taking care of the rat, she headed for an exit. there was an open window, so she gracefully lept out the top floor and fell, activating her levitation before hitting the stone alley. still invisible, she just watched as she 'saw' Zeb also looking on (she got true seeing on) |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Sauron Mabievarn on Thu, 23 Sep 2010 08:26(Well he IS a half possessed human after all impulsive and unpredictable with descendant of a mixed lineage) Sauron skidded to a stop and quickly ducked behind some crates and waited. Something was not right he felt sick, a slight droning sound rang inside his head like a swarm of bees enveloped him he sank down and waited " I am pulling myself out" he thought. |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Inriiaynrae Jaelre on Thu, 23 Sep 2010 09:10((lol, what else should i expect huh?)) Inrii moved deep into the shadows blending perfectly that not even her heat signature would be seen with darkvision. with a simple flick of her wrist, she cast darkness around her and green flames of faerie fire over the thugs. at least it would startle them, but she was hoping they would freak out. |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Sauron Mabievarn on Fri, 24 Sep 2010 08:10(Guess its a good time explain his past.) Sauron curled up his head buzzing he saw those images again as a child being carried from his burning village by teiflings, he saw and felt the smooth curved horns of the girl who mothered him, his first lesser imp summoning and the painful memories of getting caught in a blast of a gem mine. He remembered as someone stitched him back covering the gems with his flesh so that became the source of his mana, he remembered the war against normal humans by his caretakers he still recovering that time and the defeat. His time as a slave of drow scavengers was blur and he recovered with the buzzing still in his head. Glancing up he saw an unnatural darkness covering some areas he slumped and watched. |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Ironman11 on Fri, 24 Sep 2010 17:47(Sorry internet problems again) The gang of thugs were not idiot they had saw Sauron tried to attack them and trying to hide upon the crates only encouraged them to press harder. What they did not expect was the great blast of magical fires all about as they group flinched and staggered away. "Oi! Dis lot an't human they are! Forget dis! I'm running while I am still not no drow slave!" one screamed out as the four thugs retreated down the opposite end of the alley. Bones the fifth being on the other side of the flames quickly retreated across the corner of the alley fleeing in the opposite direction and trying to make good ground. Scarer twisted smirk dispeared from his face "Right.." he stated before continuing "I got approached by dis here man named Al Brongbee because he needed a good tracker to trace a killer.." he confessed to the priestess "You see, Al got himself a baby cousin of sorts, nice fellow got into the bandit business to follow up ol' Al's footsteps.. You see what his here cousin likes to do is simply extort passing peasants for their purse and then ditch town before the authorities got wise.. He was going to rest it off here in Dagger Fall most likely going to spend a few nights on Harlot's Row." he state with a snicker. "But, apparently that wasn't going to the case.. You see early tonight ol'Al's cousin and his friends were all murdered in cold blood.. Dagger slices the lot of them.. and by taste.. I say mithrial. So he hires me to find out who done it.. and I suppose I get an idea of who.. someone meduim size.. their was a rip and fabric that don't belong to no one on scene so I said cloaked.. and surely enough some stall owner said he saw a fella like that straggering through like he been wounded.. and you know what? it was on the trail I was scenting.. and that pretty much led me right to you lot.." (I can't think of a post for Zeblithtlar so end for now) |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Siladhiel Idhrenion on Fri, 24 Sep 2010 20:37Siladhiel paid Scarer as she'd agreed. "You should leave," the elf said firmly, eyes hard. "Before I change my mind." The elf headed outside to reinforce Inrii and Sauron, but it looked like the thieves were on the run already. "I think there's some matters that need to be discussed," the priestess said coolly. Now she understood the basis of the prejudice against blood mages. Mithril dagger, cloak, wounded man, this inn...what were the odds? "Before one person's idiot malice gets us all killed." |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Inriiaynrae Jaelre on Sat, 25 Sep 2010 01:04'that was too easy,' she said to herself. she slipped unseen over to Sil and whispered, "they were definitely after someone, and I guessing he's that male hiding behind the crates." then she released her invsisibility showing back up in normal sight. "but nothing like a good fight to get the blood pumping," she jested, "tho it ended rather shortly. ah well, plenty of things to run into along the way." |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Siladhiel Idhrenion on Sat, 25 Sep 2010 12:51"This may be the first of many fights if we keep a particular blood mage around with us. These men came here looking for the person who murdered a relative of the gang leader's," Siladhiel said coolly, grip tightening a little on her staff. She did not enjoy killing anyone, particularly when it was avoidable...and she was still pissed about the mana drain. "The attacker was cloaked, wielded mithril daggers, and left the scene wounded. Sauron seemed most eager to kill people earlier. I find this concerning. We will have enough danger on our path without someone irritating the whole countryside and murdering people willy-nilly." |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Inriiaynrae Jaelre on Sat, 25 Sep 2010 14:23Inrii turned around to look at the wizard, narrowing her eyes with a dangerous look, less b/c of morality and more on the who point that she was trying to stay discrete in this town. "do what you want then. but discretion is our biggest ally here," the first directed to the priestess and the second to Saroun. she could not let him interfer with her mission. if Mayindia sent her on it, it had to be important. she looked to Zeb and signed that most everything was back to normal. then pulling her piwafwi tighter around herself she decided to head back to her room, careful to keep her skin hidden. some of the city folks had gathered around to see the action, many still watching and waiting for more. a few had grown bored leaving for the safetly of their homes. in the distance (a few alleys over) the sound of a group of guards making way was heard. they rounded a corner weapons leveled trying to clear a space in the crowd twords the group. Kessla with her staff safe began the grueling work of clearing out the dead and cleaning the mess. |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Siladhiel Idhrenion on Sat, 25 Sep 2010 14:39Siladhiel was too tired to deal with Sauron at the moment, and followed Inrii up to their shared room. "Were you injured at all in the fight?" the elf asked, putting a hand over her own lacerated thigh. With her mana drained, the wound knitted together with agonizing slowness. The whole area would still be tender and painful for days, but at least it wasn't bleeding all over. She changed into her spare robe, pulling out a needle and thread to repair the bloodied one. Having precious little magic was inconvenient at best. |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Sauron Mabievarn on Sun, 26 Sep 2010 00:56" I told you so, you cannot escape your destiny my human carrier" Sauron heard a sly female voice in his mind,"Look around you, look how much you have killed, to feed me!. do you feel it to? the restlessness of hundreds of souls within you? they HUNGER for your soul, dear" the voice continued " You seek to prolong your life span how noble for such lowly human, oh i see you have made some fae friends tch you will never be able to be like them Sauron you are mine, MINE to feed alone!." The voice faded away and Sauron shuddered "How much do I have?" the daemon in him was growing day by day. Glancing around he saw the crowd slowly dispersing away, his past companions were gone he thought bitterly " Well time to dissipate" he thought pulling his hood closer he looked around for a sewer entry and dropped into the darkness. Below under the surface he lit a small fire on the tip of his staff, sat down on the damp surface, pulling a small pendant hanging from his neck inside was a symbol of his former tiefling caretakers house, "Looks like we all go crazy one time or the other" he thought ruefully cradling the small silver figure. |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Inriiaynrae Jaelre on Sun, 26 Sep 2010 01:24((when everyone is or has gone to rest (or sooner if yall wish), i figured it'd be morning. did sauron plan to return to the inn before the party heads to see alya?)) below the streets of the small town, was the sewage system, which in reality wasnt much. for only a few homes had indoor pluming. but all around was tunnels that connected buildings with each other. some had been locked and sealed, but Raven's Claw made excellent use for their black market. the sound of the soft splash as he fell alerted a few further down. fear of guards, one hurried back to warn the others. the other, a thin but well build female stood silent and still, hand on her weapon. ((still tryin to find characters to interact w/ yall so thats why there seams like alot of thugs and stuff)) |

RE: Vale of Shadows by Siladhiel Idhrenion on Sun, 26 Sep 2010 01:33(OOC: No worries. I can always pitch in NPCs too, but I figured you had a plan for the Alya encounter and the rest of the Raven's Claw.) Siladhiel crawled into bed, lapsing into reverie in an instant. The fight had taken more out of her than she'd anticipated--she didn't even worry about Inrii doing something to her. So far, the drowess had passed up numerous occasions to do her harm, which inspired a fair measure of trust from the priestess. She was out for the night. |
