Corvinus licked his fingers of the delicous fruit, amazed by the flavor. After awhile he put the lid back on and crawled over to his bed. "I am. Tired."

Cait glanced at him and nodded. "Me too," she whispered. She slowly kicked off her boots. "Are you sure... you don't mind sleeping next to me?"

"No, it was comfortable last night." He said softly. "I don't mind it at all." He lay down and patted next to him with his tail, smiling.

Cait nodded and lay down next to him, pulling a pillow under her head. "Thank you," she whispered softly, actually facing him for once.

Corvinus turned to face her more and smiled. His tail flipped over her and pulled her closer before he covered them both up. "You know, I normally don't like cuddling, but, this isn't so bad."

Cait smiled a bit and glanced down to his tail again. "Thank you," she whispered again. She didn't feel like she exactly needed him to hold her, but him being close felt better.

Corvinus tucked his head down and closed his eyes. Seeing the details in his face made him look more human than demon. Despite his reddish skin, he looked like a man mostly.

Cait closed her eyes as well and slowly fell asleep, still tired from her lack of sleep the night before.
It wasn't long though, before the nightmares found her again. She whimpered a little in her sleep, and turned to her other side, shaking her head and clutching the pillow tightly.

Corvinus moaned a little, pulling Cait closer. He was a heavy sleeper, but he reflexively sensed movement and tried to pulled her back to him.

Cait instantly fought against his pull, thinking it was in her dream, one of the demons that haunted her. She pushed away to the point that she rolled off the bed. She woke up with a gasp as she hit the floor. She looked around for a moment before leaning her forehead on the bed with a defeated sob.

Corvinus sat up. "Wusat?!" He asked, freightened by the sound. But he relaxed as he saw Cait.
"Cait? What's the matter?" He asked softly.

Cait shook her head, not looking up. "I fell off," she muttered, not wanting to tell him the real reason.

"Did I accidently push you? I'm sorry. Come back up, I promise I wont do that again." Corvinus said softly, rested back to give her more room.

Cait shook her head again. "It wasn't you," she whispered. She took a deep breath and finally straightened. "I'll uh... be back. I need some air." She got up and slipped out of the tent.

Corvinus frowned and rested back down, troubled. He thought about what she had told him. Her professors traded her with demons? For what?
