Kara made a bit of a face and nodded. "That would be hard," she said. "Well the real estate job should be better in that aspect too, right?"

Mark smiled. "Oh yeah. I had a lot of friends back then. Nothing like helping people get homes that suddenly equates to free dinners." He laughed. "So, I'll be needing a lot of those wishes of luck tomorrow."

Kara laughed lightly and nodded. "Yeah," she said. "Well I'm sure you'll get it. It seems like you used to be really good at it."

"I used to be one of the best. They let me go because apparently others needed the job 'more then me'. Guess they thought I had my wife, and my house, and my car to help out." He sighed. "Its backwards. Completely backwards." He shifted. "Anyway, I'm sure you don't want to hear me grumble about it."

Kara laughed a little and shrugged. "It's not a problem," she said. "But hey, whether or not you ace the interview we should do something that night. Late-ish. I have a dinner at my parents' to go to but... we could catch a late movie or something or go have drinks. Celebrate getting the interview over with."

Mark smiled. "Both sounds good. I'd invite you to my place for drinks and a movie, but its not appealing. Its clean...just...as clean as it can be type of place."

Kara laughed a little. "You don't have to be embarrassed about your place, Mark," she said easily. "Hell when I was seventeen I was living in a tool shed." She shrugged.

Mark laughed a bit. "Well, that's just it. I'm way older then seventeen." He told her. He sighed. 'But if you don't mind it, I promise you its clean and I've managed to paint, but somethings are beyond my control."

Kara smiled a little. "I understand," she said softly. "Really believe me. I've been there. But if you really don't want me to see your place we could go to a bar. I know a good one."

"I suppose its up to you." Mark said. "I mean I'd rather you see my new place once I'm able to move out."

Kara smiled a little and nodded. "Alright," she said. "Well we can do a bar. That's easy enough."

"Well, don't we need a designated driver?" He asked slowly. "I wouldn't want to go out and then have to leave your car behind."

Kara laughed a little. "Well I never drink that much," she said. "But we can always walk, right?"

"Or stumble." Mark laughed. "I know I know. I'm not that big of a drinker either." He told her. "Sounds good though. I'm sure we'll be alright."

Kara laughed a bit and nodded. "And worst comes to worse we can always call a cab," she said easily. "So... how about I call you after I get home from dinner Friday? Should be around nine."
