Evhad smiled a little. He reached over and touched her hair a little. It felt like silk, to him. He pulled back though. "Same." He said easily.

Kiya watched him, his hand, with a small smile. She didn't feel threatened by him anymore. "Thank you," she said softly.

Evhad nodded slowly and closed his eyes, covering them up. It was nice to have a warm body next to him again. He had cared for his wife, but his people could never linger on death. Death happened to them too often.

Kiya studied the man for a moment after he closed his eyes. He was large and rugged, but handsome in his own way. But most of all, he had a kind face. Worn and... a little tired, but kind. She smiled a little and shifted, finally closing her eyes and slowly drifting off.

Evhad ended up turning into her after awhile, resting his head in to hers. He shifted a little and snored softly.
In the middle of the night though, Cunetyl started to cry.

Kiya blinked awake at the sound and slowly stirred. She looked at Evhad but he was fast asleep. So she quietly slipped from the blankets and over to the child, gently scooping him up. "Shhh," she breathed, rocking him gently. She moved over to the jug of milk and dampened a cloth in it for him.

The baby settled down and coo'd as he was fed. He curled into her arms and soon he was back asleep
Evhad had awoken, noticing the absence. He watched her in the darkness, smiling. He didn't want to say anything yet...

Kiya watched the baby for a moment, still rocking him gently. After a little while, she set him back in his little bed, covering him up gently. She slipped back over to the bedroll as quietly as she could, laying back down.

Evhad threw a large arm over her and pulled her close. He almost wanted to laugh. "Thank." He whispered. "Thank you."

Kiya blinked in surprise. "For what?" she managed to whispered, hardly having expected the massive hug.

"You are good with him." He whispered in his half sleep. "I...needed you."

Kiya smiled a little at that, relaxing into his hug. It felt nice to be held like that. "I'm... glad to help," she whispered.

Evhad nodded but just like that he was asleep again. He closed his eyes, relaxed completely. The chill came to them but they had prepared.

Kiya drifted back to sleep as well. She scooted a little closer to him as the cold crept over the tent, pressing against the warmth of his large body.

Evhad woke early that morning, and managed to make them some tea. He brought it inside and checked on his baby. He knew that the hump wasn't over yet. Most children didn't make it past their first year...and moreso lost their lives by age five...
