The Doctor nodded slowly. "And you enjoy that?" he asked. "A lot?" He sipped at his tea, gently declining the offer to sit.

Annette swallowed a little. "Yeah, I do." She said softly. "Uhm. I guess sometimes its hard getting anywhere with it. I'm good, but some girls are just better built for it."

The Doctor nodded a bit. "Well I'm sure you'll get there someday," he said easily. "You're still here at school so you've obviously got time."

Annette smiled a little. "I'm not really that young." she said slowly. "Its just dancing requires degrees now. I'm twenty-six. Most girls careers end four or five years from now."

The Doctor shrugged a bit. "But that's most girls," he pointed out easily. He turned a little, surveying her room as he sipped his tea. His pocket rustled a little though.

Annette looked to his pocket and licked her lips. "The...plant thing still there?" She pointed.

The Doctor looked down and frowned. "Oh, yeah," he said. "Didn't get a chance yet to... deal with it." He shrugged and pulled his silver rod out of his pocket again, pointing it at his pocket as it whirred to stop the thing from moving again.

Annette studied him and frowned. This man was not...normal. "Uhm... what...what was that?"

The Doctor glanced at her and smirked, holding up the rod. "This? Just your average run of the mill sonic screwdriver," he said easily. "Actually, not really average. Or run of the mill. But yeah. Sonic screwdriver."

"Whats a sonic screwdriver. What does it do?" she asked calmly, staring at it. It was a wierd little tool.

The Doctor smiled at her. "All sorts of things," he said easily. He pushed it into his pocket.

"you are the most vague person I've ever met." she laughed a little. "You don't have a name, and you dabble in a lot of things and that stick does all sorts of things." She teased him.

The Doctor flashed her a grin and shrugged. "You're asking questions with very big answers," he countered easily. He finished his tea and set the cup down on her table. "Thanks for that, really. It was great."

Annette smiled a little. "Well...anytime." She said softly. "It was nice meeting you I suppose. I like meeting new people."

The Doctor smirked a bit. "You only suppose?" he asked teasingly. "Meeting me is---"
He stopped as the building rumbled. His pocket wiggled again and the plant jumped out of it, scurrying towards the window. The Doctor didn't even bother going for it though, another rumble going through the building.
"That's... not good," he murmured quietly.
