Annette frowned a bit and grabbed a hold of his arms, stumbling in to him. "What is it?"

The Doctor looked to the plant thing finally as it pushed out of her window. "The big daddy," he murmured. He turned and ran for the door, pushing out of it and running for the front door. The building rumbled slightly again.

Annette frowned and blinked, quickly chasing after him. "Doctor! Wait!" She cried out. She wasn't prepared to stay behind.

The Doctor pushed out of the front door and skidded to a stop. A little ways across campus, people were running, screaming from one of the buildings. A huge clump of plant, roots for legs, crawled over the building, crushing the tables and planters outside and ripping up the concrete of the sidewalks.

Annette ran to the Doctor and skidded to a half beside him. "Oh my...god." She breathed. She looked to him, wanting to know what he was going to do. He seemed to be in the know.

The Doctor glanced to her briefly, but then jumped back to running, heading straight for the thing.

Annette swallowed and followed, but she kept her distance watching. She didn't call for him, just overwhelmed by the monster.

The Doctor hurried around in front of the creature and jumped, waving his arms. "Oy!" he called. "Hey! Down here!"
The plant seemed to groan a little, or maybe it was the building under it, but it did stop and seem to focus on the Doctor.
The Doctor sighed a bit, shaking his head. "How did a creature like you get to earth?"

Annette swallowed, looking at the thing. When he said 'to earth' she glanced to him, confused. He thought this was an alien?!

The creature groaned again and moved a little closer to the Doctor, but he didn't move, actually seeming like he was listening to the creature.
"Well you can't just go about smashin' down buildings," the Doctor said, pointing. "It doesn't work like that. This planet's got enough people on it. There's no room for---"
The giant plant let out a loud shriek and whipped a vine his way.
The Doctor stumbled back and fell down into the muddy grass, but it made the vine sail right over his head. "I could help you!" the Doctor shouted up at it. But it didn't seem to want to listen to him anymore. It lashed out again and started moving for him.

Annette fell to the ground and yelped, closing her eyes tight. She couldn't believe that he was trying to talk to it!

The Doctor quickly looked around and scrambled up. He moved to Annette and pulled her up. "Fastest way to the stadium," he said quickly. "Go. Run."

Annette nodded and took off, not arguing with him at all. She ran to the stadium and frowned, looking for a place to hide.

The Doctor got to the stadium and took a quick look around. There were growling shrieks coming after them as the plant monster chased after them. But he grabbed Annette before she could get too far and turned her around. He ran along the hallway and up the stairs, heading for the PA center.

Annette followed him quickly and frowned. "What are you going to do?" She had a chance to ask.
