Faust glanced over as he passed and couldn't help pausing. But then he quickly pushed on, and further into the trees on the other side to keep himself away.

Nova sighed and walked to the bank, putting on her gear again. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to warm up.

Faust climbed up into a tree while he was waiting for her to be finished, and scanned the forest for a moment. Then he simply sat on a branch, listening for her call, watching a couple squirrels on the next tree.

'Hey Faust!" She called. she moved back to her gear and picked it up. "Are you around?!"

Faust glanced her way at the call and quickly dropped down from the tree. He walked to the river and waved from across the water at her. He easily slid down the bank on his side and walked across. He didn't seem to feel the cold at all.

Nova hugged herself and rubbed her arms. "Lets just get moving. N-need to warm up."

Faust chuckled a bit and easily tossed her his cloak. "Come on," he said softly. "Let's get you warm."

Nova curled up in his cloak and sighed. "Thanks Faust. That was stupid."

Faust chuckled and shook his head, walking with her. "No it wasn't," he said. "I mean. It's not like it's raining again. Or there's a blizzard."

Nova laughed a little. "Well you're tolerant." She laughed.

Faust smiled at her. "Growing up in the frozen north has its advantages," he said. "Although I don't do too well in the heat..." He shrugged a little.

Really?" She asked. "Have you been to the deserts?"

Faust nodded. "Yes," he answered. "They are... not pleasant."

Nova laughed. "Yeah I'd like to stick with the temperate whether thank you." Se said softly.

Faust chuckled a little and nodded. "Very much agreed," he said. He continued walking along for a moment, but suddenly stopped. He froze for a moment, then motioned for her to get down. Off in the distance, behind the sound of the rushing water of the river, the muffled sounds of hundreds of marching feet came to his ears.
