Dryn was silent for a moment, standing he began to buckle his armor back on over his bandages. "Does he have a weakness?"

"A handful of friends, allies. Enough of us to push through his army of undead and someone or some people efficient in light magic would give us at least a small chance of possibly defeating him."

Dryn pulled a knapsack from under his bed, opening it Uthar caught the glimpse of several magical potions, an odd collection of daggers and knives and a scroll case that Dryn removed.

"Do you know about the story of the powerful arch-mage who was sealed in his tower?" Dryn spread out the map on the cot. "I just so happen to know where that is, if anything can give us an edge on your "friend" one of his magical items can."

After investigating the contents of the pack with a minute smile I inclined my head.

"I have never heard of that story but even so it sounds like a plan."

I threw the pack on my shoulder and picked up my own from near the door.

Dryn rolled up the map and placed it into its case. "I see you are a man of action."

"We will need to go to the town of Oakhurst, there is a barrow at the northwest end of the town, and that is the entrance to the tower.”

I opened the door and stepped out into the hall. Turning back I waited for him.

"I did not mean to rush you. If you have any buisness to attend to we could do that first if you wish. In which direction is Oakhurst?"

Dryn smiled, "South, and no. I do not have any business to attend to."

I gave a few short nods.

"Alright. Time is not on our side so we'll have to move fast. We can cover a few miles now and stop off at a inn in a town we come across."

Dryn nodded. "Seems as though you're right."

To himself he muttered. "Off to save the world."

I moved down the stairs and outside if the tavern. Gulping in a dose of fresh air I gazed up at the sky coated in a dazzling arsenal of various vibrant colours. It was dusk, and the light would soon dissipate.

Dryn glanced at Uthar. "Lets get moving."

Inside of Dryn, a sleeping power stirred when he beheld the vibrant lights in the sky.
Dryn sighed whispering to himself. "Soon."

I pressed on, unaware, using the setting sun as a compass to travel south towards our destination. I spoke little on our journey, using the time to plot and plan. Old friends would be called for aid and rivals might too need to be persuaded if victory was to be attained.

"Do you possess any magic, Dryn?"

I asked, trying to assess his ability.

"Very little, mostly just shadow magic."
Dryn paused and Uthar noticed he looked pained.
Drawing in a sharp breath Dryn continued. "Wait, let me see my bag"

I stopped, turning about and raising an eyebrow.

"You alright?"

Dryn coughed, spitting up blood.
"I'm fine, i just need a potion from by bag. Its a cloudy silver."
