Ezekiel tucked the small black book away. A mentor had told him to write in a journal to help him coap. He had started a new one. A new one that would depict his upmost desires to serve his Mistress. He could write his feelings of her in this. His ideas. His obsessions.

Ezekiel brought his knees to his face and stared at the door. He waited for his Mistress to come and give him praise.

Yattara did materialize, though not coming through the door. She was by the window, flexing and then furling her wings. "Ezekiel," the succubus said, speaking quietly.

"Mistress," he turned to face her lowering his head. "You grace me with your presence." he said. He thought of many other things to say; how beautiful she was. How he felt awestruck by her mere glance. All of these things he wished to express, but he shoved them back. He was afraid of the feelings they gave him.

The succubus smiled slightly. "How flattering. It seems you've upstaged the Lord Chancellor of Hestavar. An impressive feat, I must say," Yattara said smoothly.

"It wasn't at all, Mistress. Lord Chancellor is an old dog, far past his prime. Anyone could have done so." Ezekiel said nonchalantly.

"If you say so," Yattara said, studying him absently. "Appealing to Thenaean greed was quite a spark of brilliance. Perhaps you can pull it off, if you can bring yourself to be diplomatic for long enough."

Ezekiel blinked. "Of coarse I can Mistress. Anything to further serve you." he said quickly. "Diplomacy only requires a face and a mind."

"Along with a healthy dose of cunning and good manners," Yattara said, tail flicking out as she took a seat in a chair nearby and crossed one leg over the other. "So will you be traveling to Thenaea, then?"

"If your majesty does not require any further service then I will certainly do so to conduct and forsee the matters myself." Ezekiel said with smooth precision.

"Your Majesty? Who are we speaking of, the king?" Yattara said with a laugh. "Well, congratulations for finally showing some initiative."

"You deserve such a title Mistress. You deserve everything." He told her. "And, I do whatever is needed of me, whether you say so or not. I do not need your beautiful words to know what you demand of me, Mistress. We know eachother well."

"I do not think you know me so well," Yattara said with a slight smile. "And such pretenses of noble birth tire me, when I am in this form. I get enough of it when I am in disguise. Still, the sentiment is appreciated. This mission to Thenaea of yours, do you think you can adequately deal with the King and Queen."

"It depends on what you mean by 'deal', Mistress. Whether it is to put up with, coerce or kill. I will do my best to carry out your wishes. I have learned that the word: 'deal' is awefully misleading with several meanings."

"Negotiate with," Yattara said with a wave of her hand, one wing flexing slightly.

"Very well. I shall leave immedietly in the morning." Ezekiel said with a nod, but pausing to stare at Yattara as he sensed their time together was coming to an end. "I will not fail you." he told her in an attempt to extend said time.
