"Not simply." Augustus said slowly. "I am a Bashara. I am from the nothern lands." He explained.

Cami looked up. "Whoa.... we... never get Bashara down here. Ever." She looked at him then. "I've never even met someone from your land before... Taryn?" She asked her friend.

Taryn shook her head. "Then what happened?" she asked, sensing he wouldn't want to tell them, but asking all the same. "How did you end up here?"

"I was injured. A family took me in, but they sold me. I did not fight much." He said plainly. The lack of infliction was a bit disturbing.

"They.... sold you." Cami frowned. "After helping you? That's.... alright, that's just plain awful in all honesty." She said quieter and then looked to Tryn. "Wow.... I'm sorry." She told him.

Taryn glanced up at him, frowning. She wasn't so concerned with the family selling him; she was no stranger to the cruelty of human kind. But his detachment from it all intrigued her. She wondered if he truly didn't care or if he was simply putting up a front to better cope.

"I suggested it." Augustus said. "They were overtaxed and they needed the money." He looked around. "Are you done questioning me, I would like to sleep soon."

Cami nodded, but her thoughts were very much along the same line as Taryn. Why was he detatching himself from everything? She sighed. "Yeah... yeah we can sleep." She said, noticing that it was getting a bit darker as they had talked. She went about making a fire for them. "I'll take first watch then."

Taryn looked to her friend. "You really want to make camp this close to the site?" she asked. "Seriously? We should move."

"I agree." Augustus said. "I will find food." He walked off into the woods outlying the slavery without them. He was rather efficient with hunting, even without a weapon.

Cami laughed and shook her head. "The man says sleep that's what I start doing." She shrugged and got up. "Alright well... we go." She smiled over to Tryn."

Taryn smiled slightly back, pulling on her pack and kicking out the fire Cami had started. Then she started walking, sort of in the was Augustus was headed, but not exactly following him. She understood not wanting their charity, but at the same time, if he was that tired why not accept the hand out and get what rest he could? He confused her a little.

Augustus wanted back with a deer hauling behind him by the horns. He caught up with the others, surprisingly knowing where they were and had gone. "I killed dinner. Now you cook."

Cami nodded and laughed. "That's you Taryn. Swear the girl is the best cook I've ever traveled with." She smiled with her friend as they walked. "What do you think? We can cook that?" She motioined to the deer.

"No, it's meat that we can't physically ever cook," Taryn answered sarcastically. She stuck her tongue out at Cami and quickly made a fire, taking the deer from Augustus. She pulled out a knife, dragging the deer a little ways from their camp site, and skinned it skillfully. Then she easily set up a spit, roasting a good portion of the meat. They didn't have time to save and use all of it, so she just took what was necessary for that night.
