Ryan nodded and grabbed a pen and a scrap piece of paper, scribbling down his number quickly. "There you go. I don't have a cell phone, but my home phone works just find." He smiled. "Thank you, for this."

Kyndal took the number and looked at it for a moment. She shook her head though when she looked up at him. "No, thank you," she said quietly. "Really..." She managed to get downstairs without falling over.

Ryan guided her to the door. "Uhm. Call me anytime, Kyndal right?" He had to ask again. "I look forward to seeing you---again." He smiled and inhaled deeply.

Kyndal nodded and took a deep breath, forcing herself to resist the urge to hug him. "I'll be calling soon," she said quietly. "Don't worry." She offered him a small smile, opening the door and letting herself out. "Thank you for everything Ryan. Really."

Ryan grinned. "Take care!" He yelled after her, but he closed the door and sighed. He slipped into the living room and fell on the couch, absolutely elated! What a chance call that she would just randomly show up at his door step?
God was guiding.

Kyndal made it back home and got into the shower. She sat in the water, letting herself cry again for a while. But eventually she got out and went to her room. She reread Reaver's letter a few times before getting into bed, and finally falling asleep.
She ditched school again that day, sleeping well into the afternoon. She woke up and rubbed her eyes, and immediately grabbed her cell phone, dialing Ryan's number.

There were a few rings.
"Hello?" He asked, his voice sounding a bit different. He sniffed harshly like he had a stuffy nose.

"Ryan?" Kyndal asked a bit. "Hey... it's Kyndal. How's it... going?" She probably sounded different too. She was still pretty tired.

"I got a cold." He murmured. I would ask you to come over but I don't want to get you sick. The caretake is out of town...could you...could you maybe bring some tissues and soup though? I'll pay you back."

Kyndal smiled a bit. "I could do that," she said quietly. And if she got a cold, she could have another excuse to not go to class. She really didn't have the motivation right now. "Is it alright if I make it there?"

There was a bit of silence. "I don't really want to get you sick is all." He said softly. "But...but I could use a hand around here." He managed nasally.

Kyndal smiled at that. "I guess if I get sick you'll just have to pay me back and let me crash with you, okay?" she said, getting up. "I'll be there in an hour."

Ryan smiled a little. "Alright." He said softly. "I'll see you soon. Thanks." He hung up the phone and smiled to himself, his cheeks heating up. He couldn't...believe this was happening to him.

Kyndal quickly got dressed, making sure she looked a lot cuter than before. Then she stopped by the campus store and grabbed some soup, and some juice as well. She was to the old house in forty-five minutes, and rang the doorbell.

Ryan answered, with a blanket huddled around him, and one eye and a nose showing. "Hey." He managed. The house was completely dark and cool, but the TV was one in the background giving him some mild light.
