Nickoladze smiled and nodded persistantly. "Please, do not feel uncomfortable. It's the least I can do." He said easily. "Would you do the honor of helping me pick out the drapes?" He asked softly. "I'm afraid I haven't a clue what I want."

Lyra swallowed a bit and nodded, trying to regain herself. She turned and handed the blue fabric to the merchant, gesturing with her fingers how many yards she wanted. Finally she licked her lips and glanced at him again, her cheeks returning mostly to their usual color.
"Well... it does get quite cold here in the winters," she said quietly. "So. Unless your grace wants to go through the hassle of changing them seasonally, I would pick something with some good weight to it. And thickness."

"Call me Nickoladze, please." He said lightly. "And that is a wonderful idea." He looked around. "These here look nice and heavy." He gestured to a table in the tent. He picked some up and fingered through some.

Lyra nodded a bit, but she wasn't sure she felt comfortable with that either. She was intimidated by him. She slowly walked to the other side of the table and looked through a few fabrics as well. "What sorts of colors are you looking for?" she asked quietly, avoiding calling him anything.

Nickoladze smiled and looked up. "I like purple, or red. Or perhaps a reddish-purple." He glanced up and smiled wider, thumbing through them. He could sense she was nervous, and he really wished that wasn't so. Honestly, she was quite becoming, and, the only one he knew so far in this town.

Lyra smiled a bit and nodded. "Warm colors," she murmured. She glanced around and moved to a different table, flipping through a few things. But then she started pulling out a couple different fabrics and laying them on top.
"What about one of these?" She asked. Two were just plain red or purple, but the others were mixes of the two colors in different patterns, mixed in with some deep browns. The last she had pulled out had gold stitching through it.

Nickoladze smiled and walked over. "You're quite quick with that." He said lightly. "Hmm...I love this one." He pointed to the gold stitching. "It would make me look very weathy no? Perhaps something a bit more reserved would be better. What do you think?"

Lyra smiled a bit. "Well... the stitches would only really show when the light hit them directly," she said quietly. "But if you want reserved I would choose this one." She pointed to the other that was similar to it.

Nickoladze rubbed his chin beard in thoat. His light brown hair had natual highlights of chesenut and bronze, and his beard didn't look scratchy at all. It looked softer. "Let's go with this one." He pointed to the more reserved one. "And perhaps a few yards of the other one for the entry way. I can picture that. Yes?"

Nickoladze looked around. "I think were done at this stand." He said lightly, telling the man what he needed. He ended up taking the entire supply for the amount he needed. He paid her her fabric as well, and the entire order cost around fifty gold. He still had money for the other things he needed, easily. He stepped out of the small tent and looked to her. "Well...if you would like to join me, I could buy you some lunch as well." He offered.

Lyra managed a small smile. She didn't want to seem like she was taking advantage of his money... She took her own fabric from the merchant as she quickly tried to decide. "I could probably... tag along," she said quietly.

Nickoladze grinned and nodded. "That's wonderful." He said lightly, tucking the fabric under his arm and offering the other for her to take. He puffed out his chest proudly, happy she had accepted. He was a perfectly amiable person, and enjoyed when others agreed to out with him.

Lyra slowly took his arm, knowing what she should do in the situation, even though she'd never been in one like it before. "What else are you looking for?" she asked quietly.

"Tapestries and carpets." Nickoladze said easily. "I need ten carpets and well, twelve taspestries." He glanced over. "Who knew that this was going to be my shopping list for today?"
