Demi looked up at him a bit, not having realized he was just that close. "You're a rather... odd stag," she said softly, smiling a bit. "I never thought you'd be so... gentle." She held out the strand of grass to him a bit more.

Areseniko moved forward and nibbled the grass a little out of her hands. He nuzzled closer, looking to her with large majestic eyes. He wondered if she...sensed him...

Demi watched him for a moment. She could see... something in his eyes, but she didn't really know what it was. "You know, you're rather lucky," she murmured. "I imagine your life to be quite nice. Peaceful. Simple."

Arseniko cocked his head with inquiry, and he nibbled at the leaves hanging down from the large tree. He seemed to be interested.

Demi sighed and leaned back against the tree again, looking past him to the stream. "No pompous lords or generals to bother you, no thoughtless women with useless banter to pretend to listen to..." She sighed a bit, shaking her head.

Arseniko snorted softly in sympathy and moved closer to lick her cheek. He felt pity for the mortals. Especially those who were trapped like she was.

Demi blinked and looked to the stag in surprise. "You... understand me, don't you?" she whispered.

Arseniko shifted and snorted before getting up to his feet and inhaling greatly. He stood proud and distinguished.

Demi frowned slightly, watching it. It was much, much bigger now that she was sitting below it... She slowly licked her lips. "Well I've no idea what that means," she murmured. "But maybe I'll let myself think you can, at least."

Arseniko snorted and shook his head and neck. The small rope with the fig on it broke off. And just like that the steed took off into the woods with a grace and speed, and disappeared.

Demi blinked, watching him go. But she slowly reached over and picked up the rope with a small smile. She tucked it into a pocket and slowly got up. She knew she really ought to be getting back.

Arseniko transformed in this his human like form and hugged his back against the tree with a small smile. His heart was pounding from the rush of it all. He felt...empowered. He felt his conquest of his fears.
And best of all he felt the fig with her. She had no idea what he had given her.

Demi walked slowly back along the path and to the estate. Once she was inside though, she was promptly caught by her father's new wife, and lectured in a shrill voice for nearly twenty minutes. After that, she quickly hurried to her room, and out to the balcony, hiding away from anyone that might come by looking for her.

Arseniko followed her easily, turning into a white dove and flying to her balcony. He landed on the railing and hopped over, coo-ing lightly and settling down.

Demi was on a small little bench, tucked in the corner with the balcony entrance to her right so no one could see her. She glanced up at the cooing sound, revealing tears in her eyes. But she quickly wiped at them before any drops could fall.
