The Eye moved over and brought in some tea. "Please, my child. Sit. What troubles you to come here? I sense... skepticism. Although me to ease your doubts.

Kiya slowly took the tea from her, sitting down. "I am... nervous," she admitted softly. "About my... impending marriage."

Kiya swallowed a little and nodded, looking down to her tea. "Yes," she answered quietly. She licked her lips, unsure about speaking to this woman. But Jayyu, already married and a mother, wouldn't understand. She'd had choice and knew the man for years before they had wed. "I am just... unsure. I know... nothing about the man. Let alone about... being a wife..."

The Eye sat down with her. "You would wish to get to know a man first? To...learn what it means to be a wife before you married?" He asked softly, curious. She sipped her tea.

Kiya frowned a little. "I know... the wish is probably immature... naive," she said quietly. "But I just... wish I knew... if the person I was to spend the rest of my life with... for... was someone I would at least... get along with."

"It is not naive. But completely natural for you to wish these things." She said easily. "And it is not wrong of you to want this..." She sipped her tea and rested back a little more. "I will tell you this right now, Kiya. I will not waste your time. You are to get exactly, what you want. Perhaps not through the means you would think, and there will be plenty of hardships ahead, but you wish what you wish now, and you will receive it." She smiled at her.

Kiya frowned a little, studying the woman. "I will?" she asked softly.

The Eye smiled and nodded. "You very much will." She said easily. "And so do you deserve to have, Kiya."

Kiya studied the woman for a moment, quiet. "But what of these... hardships you mentioned?" she asked softly.

The woman smiled easily and nodded. "Ah yes." She said softly. "The hardships will come when you have to decide if what you wanted...was really what you wanted. You'll have to choose between the past and what you will get."

Kiya frowned a little. She didn't really like how this woman spoke so indirectly, but she was hesitant to press further. "Alright," she whispered. She slowly took a sip of her tea. "May I ask you... one more thing?"

"Of course." The woman said easily, finishing her tea and closing her eyes. She looked suddenly exhausted. Seeing the future was not always easy.

Kiya took a quiet breath, staring at her tea. "Tomorrow night," she whispered. "Will it... will he be... kind to me?"

The woman glanced over and smiled. She couldn't exactly tell her that...tomorrow night wouldn't happen. But she knew Amun enough to give her an accurate answer. "Yes...Amun is a gentle lover. He covets you."
