Ellaria shifted slightly. Eventually, she lay down, one hand over her side again. She closed her eyes, the rest of her senses attuned to the plains around them.

Uncer sighed. He never really slept all that much anway. He had fears of his own. Of the darkness. Of being awoken and dragged off...

Ellaria glanced over at him after a moment, able to see that he was awake in the light of the moon. "Everything alright?" she asked quietly.

"Yeah just...prefer to rest during the day." He told her. "Morning....evening..." He shifted. "Don't much like the dark."

Ellaria smiled a little. "Well you can relax," she said softly. "I will protect you as you sleep."

Uncer swallowed. "Promise?" He asked softly, almost infantile like. He looked to her with large eyes.

Ellaria smiled a bit and slowly nodded. "Of course," she said quietly. "You're safe with me."

Uncer took a deep breath and forced himself to closed his eyes. He didn't say another word after that...

Ellaria lay still for several hours. But five hours into the night, she sat up and stretched, slowly working through each of the sore spots from her newest wounds.
When dawn began, Ellaria reached over to Uncer with her foot, gently nudging his shoulder.

Uncer rolled over and was instantly in a crouch a hand on a small dagger. "What?!" He snapped, his heart pounding.

Ellaria smirked a bit at him. "Morning,' she said simply.

Uncer exhaled a little and nodded. "Sorry." He said softly. He swallowed a little and shook his head.

Ellaria smiled a bit and shook her head. "Nothing to apologize for," she said calmly. "You should eat, if you want, before we head out for the day."

Uncer nodded and looked over to his horse, who was laying down not to far away. He knickered at her, and she got up, trotting over. "I'll eat on the way unless I find a rabbit."

Ellaria smiled a bit and nodded. "Alright then," she said calmly, getting up. She pulled her pack on and easily started walking west again.
