"oof!" Mick fell forward onto the ground and fell unconscious pretty quickly. Alice was huddled in a ball on the curb, unwilling or unable to look up.

Cadi went over, taking Alice by the arm and pulling her up. "Come on, cariad, everything'll be alright. How about a spot of tea?"

It was just another dent amongst many.

Miles blinked at Cadi. "Thanks," he said quietly. A few of the officers laughed. Miles watched Cadi with Alice. "Officers can you help us with that idiot?" he asked.
They nodded and hauled Mick off to the hosiptal down the street.

Alice cringed. "Don't laugh! Don't call him that!" she screamed and cried. She looked to Mick who was on the ground. "I hate you all! All of you!" she managed. More so she just hated the situation.

Miles blinked, frowning. He went over and pulled Alice into a hug. "I'm going to go help at the hospital," he said softly. "Stay with Cadi. Riley will be back soon too."

Alice let herself be pulled in by Cadi, still crying hysterically. She could hardly breathe.

***

Mick groaned awake as the pulled him in on a stretcher. "No..." he moaned. "NO!"
They had strapped him to the stretcher, due to the police officers' warnings. "NOOOO! ALICE! YOU LITTLE CUNT!" He screamed and thrashed. "No! Noo....no...." Everything seemed warm and fuzzy now as they gave him a seditive.

Miles followed the officers and Mick, quiet. Someone had to explain, right? Although he was barely in a better condition than Alice, just hiding it better. He told the medics all that had happened, gave them the bag of his stuff, and told them his parent's address for contact information. Anything else? he wondered, but his thoughts slipped back to Alice. Did she mean me too. Hating everyone?

***
Riley ducked back into the theater. "Alice," she said softly, glancing to the new woman as she knelt by the sobbing woman.

Cadi lead Alice backstage, gesturing for Riley to follow if she liked, into one of the dressing rooms with a small stove and a table. She set down the teapot to heat again, pulling Alice into a hug. "You're going to be alright, cariad. Don't cry now. Have some tea. Breathe," Cadi said, rubbing Alice's back.

"No one...understands hes just sick." she sobbed. "Everyone just hates him and...thinks he's horrible." She sobbed. "He doesn't mean..."
She thought back to the journal. All the things...all the inappropriate things he had written about her. She shuttered. "Have...anyone else..."
He was hyperventalating and she curled up into a tighter ball.

Mick was carted into an isolation room, still strapped to the bed. That was when he broke down into tears. "Alice....Alice I'm sorry." he said. "I just want you back.."

Cadi sat her down in a chair. "Your brother's just being unwell. He'll be fixed," Cadi said soothingly. "He didn't mean what he said. Take deep breaths, Alice."

Miles made sure everything was done and wandered back to the theater. But there wasn't anything he could do. He was only trying to help, but now... did she really hate him? He sat on the curb, arms on his knees, head hanging low.

Riley ducked out of the theater, letting the woman that Alice seemed to know deal with things. She sat next to Miles. "Hey brother," she teased a bit, nudging him with her shoulder.

Alice nodded and leaned against Cadi. "He's not an idiot." she whispered. She still loved her brother. No matter what he did she couldn't be mad at him. He scared her...but he was sick...

***

Dr. Brown was contacted, and he came into the secured room, and sat down next to Mick in a chair. Mick was entirely drugged, but he recognized the doctor.
"Hello Mick..." Dr. Brown said softly.
"I messed up." Mick whispered.
"I hear." Dr. Brown nodded softly. "Want to talk about it?"
Mick teared up but looked away, shaking his head.
"Alright...alright that's fine...Mick. I did read your journal."
"I messed up." he repeated.
"It's alright..." Dr. Brown said calmly. "You're only human...now. Can you trust me?"
Mick nodded, but didn't look over.
"I'm going to be admitting you into a psychiatric hospital. St. Claires. It's a beautiful place."
"I'm not crazy." Mick looked over intently. "You can't do that."
"I know you're not crazy. You'll only be a level one patient. It's the lowest level. For people like you."
"Like me..." Mick clenched his fist.
"Trust me," Dr. Brown repeated. "I wouldn't put you in any level higher. You'll go there. Be with some other patients. Daily therapy sessions and activities. The'll make sure you get the medication you need, and you'll even get your own room. Think of it as a rehab center, more so. Alright?"
"Rehab for what..."
"Nothing, Mick. It's just to make sure you get some care. A routine is all. It's a great place. I worked there for many years. You want to get better right? For your sister?"
"Alice..."
"Yes...Alice." Dr. Brown agreed. "You'll be able to see her everyday."
"How---long?" Mick asked, looking over.
"A minimum of three weeks is all."
Mick closed his eyes.
"Is that something you want to do?"
Mick nodded slowly, a tear falling down. "For Alice."

"I know he's not, cariad. The hospital will get him to a good place where he can get better," Cadi said softly, giving Alice a one-armed hug as she poured tea into a waiting cup. "You'll be able to visit him and everything, I'm sure. No why don't you be having a seat and drink some tea. It's good for the soul."

Alice wiped her face and nodded, drinking the tea and taking the opportunity to calm down. She was disapointed in Miles. She knew the gun wasn't loaded...but had it been...
She just remembered how he said that he wanted to kill Mick.
She was afraid too...but that didn't mean she hated Mick, or wished any harm.
And how the cops laughed disturbed her too. Like her brother being sick was some kind of a joke?
She wasn't made at Cadi...if she hadn't have knocked him out he wouldn't have gone to the hosipital. But laughing?
She felt extremely conflicted at the moment...
But she knew one thing. Mick was right. He had always been there, and he had taken care of her in her time of need. Now it was his turn. She'd have to talk to Miles about that.

Miles sat on the curb for a long time. He'd told Riley to leave, but she'd ignored him like usual. He felt... numb; he didn't know if Alice really hated him, if he'd really messed up that badly that quick.
