Hawk nodded, but he caught the woman's wince and frowned. She...?

Merci tore her back and made her look. "Look! Aimme!" she insisted. "They were living among us!" she said angrily. "You could marry one and not even....no even know." She pulled her friend to her in a hug and sighed. When she looked over her shoulder, she blinked at the small shadowy figures.
"Aimee." she whispered. "Aimee turn around slowly..."
Her voice had changed dramatically.

Drysn pulled at Hawk. "Now!" he said harshly. "We need to go. This is not safe."

Aimee took a deep breath and turned around slowly to see the two figures. She blinked, her mouth open. They should leave... they should go.... they'll die if their Pagans. "Who...?" She whispered.

Hawk vaulted off the roof and took the the air it almost seemed, his body diving to the ground below and rolling. He turned on the balls of his feet in his neat green slippers, waiting for Drysn to follow.

Merci drew her sword. "More of them!" she hissed. "Come on Aimee! We have to kill them! Heretics!" she cried out.

Drysn growled at the shout and lept after Hawk. He caught him by the arm and pulled him along. We have to get out of here... have to run... hide...

Aimee shook her head, but followed after her friend. She wouldn't kill these people. Warn them to get away, yes, but kill? She took off after them, though her sword was not drawn. She could run easier that way. She leaped off the building and landed, running after them.

Hawk's heart was beating a hundred beats per second, it felt like. He ran quickly, leaping. Toward the glyphs...Glyphs!
He leaped in behind a wall, behind the protection.

Merci skidded to a stop. "What the hell!?" she had just seen them! Where did they go! "They were right in front of us!" she sheathed his sword and pressed her hands against the plain stone wall.

Hawk stared at the two women from the other side of the illusion, panting heavily. "I dropped the cat." he whispered defeated.

Aimee nodded. "I know... I mean, I don't know." She said, breathing hard from chasing after them. She prayed that the two Pagans would not come back... it wasn't safe for them here. She looked to the stone wall and remembered... "Why were they here? They should know they could be killed for being here."

Drysn slipped below the wall, leaning against the other side of the stone and trying to catch his breath. Too close... too bloody close...

Hawk crawled over and leaned up beside him. He laughed a bit. "Wow. That was fun." he whispered, grinning. "I still can't believe these people though. It's disgusting."

Merci scoffed and shrugged. "I don't know. I don't give a damn. I need another drink."
She was still furious about her uncle.

Aimee nodded, but didn't take her eyes off of the wall. She put a hand to it, wondering how it had been done. How they managed to escape. "Let's go back to the tavern then." She said quietly.

Drysn punched Hawk in the shoulder. "Moron," he muttered. He shook his head. "Not fun. You're going to be the death of me, I thinks." He stalked away from the wall.

Hawk rubbed his shoulder and stood up, following his brother. "You didn't have to hits so hard." He mumbled. "Come on. I want to get back to my sisters."

Merci sat on the stood. No one at the bar was back yet, thank god. Except the bartender was also gone. At least her drink was still there. "My Name is going to be soiled." she whispered, chugging back her ale. "He ruined us! My family! Selfish pig."

Aimee shook her head. "No... no I mean, your family name isn't spoiled completely. People will know that you are different then him." She sipped at her own drink. "I just don't see why they had to be burned..."

Merci sighed and looked over. "How can you not know? "To when the darkest days arrive, thy enemies will show thy face. Give them the fires of the depths and engulf them in Goliath's Hell Embrace." She quoted. "Fifth Book of the Forgers. You should read it sometime."
