Devon pulled back, seeing his reaction and she slowly kissed his cheek, then his other, trying to bring him down a bit. SHe kissed his forehead and then both of his eyelids gently. SHe didn't want to overwhelm him with everything.

John opened his eyes and smiled up at Devon. His lips parted and he held her close, before turning on his side and dropping his head down. He found a strange sense of comfort in her. No matter what this was or what was happening...he kneew it would be all right.

Devon smiled and slid next to him, resting a hand on his chest and she sighed contentedly. That had been one hell of a kiss for both of them.

John smiled contentedly as well. He looked into Devon's eyes. "I've never done anything like that before."

Devon smiled as she met his eyes and nodded. SHe could tell. "What did you think?" She whispered to him softly.

John smiled a little and nodded. "It was great." He murmured. "Thank you. A lot."

Devon nodded. "I can't believe that... you'd never been kissed before." She whispered. "I just... you're so attractive and... actually a natural at it."

John frowned. "All I knew was Reach my entire life. My squad members were like brothers and sisters. We never got close. And when we were finally seen by others we were in armor. Just machines."

"But were you told about... what you might be feeling?" Devon asked, knowing that you can only program so much out of a person. Basic instinct would still be there.

John frowned. "During the augementation process we were sterlized." He whispered. "And our sexual drive was practically dumbed down to where we didn't have to worry about it. Or at least that was a symptom of the treatment to sterelize the males. although....I'm not sure everyone was affected. I believe I was, to some extent and I had a good idea of who wasn't." He shook his head. "Those who couldn't control themselves were effectively altered so they would..." John frowned and searched her eyes. "Yet...with me I'm not sure...certainly perhaps I believed I didn't have the urges so...I effectively didn't."

Devon nodded, listening to him. "So you've never even experienced being turned on... aroused by someone or... anything like that."

John frowned. "Tonight." He whispered softly.... "Tonight I think...a little." He murmured, blushing.

Devon grinned. "And how'd that feel?" SHe asked, wanting to know... this all seemed so new to him.

"Overwhelming," John said truthfully. "New and friegthening." He laughed a little and shook his head.

Devon smiled. "Well... don't be afraid..." She whispered. "I know it's hard to not be nervous, but I wouldn't do anything to hurt you and... I'll stop if you get overwhelmed."
