Annika nodded. "She came by... that's what happened." She whispered. "And I'm not telling you what you should do in the case of what to do with the baby.. just support Katie in her choice." She smiled a little bit, looking up at him.

"I know Annika. And it's what I needed to hear." He sighed a little and kissed her forehead. "Tomorrow morning I'll wake up early and look at the data. We'll come up with a plan...but tonight I think I need some rest."

Annika nodded and walked over to her bag, pulling out what she'd sleep in. She glanced back at him and then slipping into the bed.

Sam wanted to talk about...their relationship---but perhaps now wasn't the time. He sighed a little and slipped into bed with her, pulling her close and kissing her cheek.

Annika smiled a little bit, moving closer to him. She sighed a little, feeling like something was off... She glanced up at him. "Are you alright?"

"No...no I can't say that I'm alright." Sam whispered softly. He closed his eyes though, settling down.

Annika frowned, watching him. She moved closer and kiss his eyes as they were closed. "Sleep well." She whispered, closing her own eyes.

Sam took her hand in his and nodded, smiling in his half-sleep. "I'm glad you're with me Annika."

Annika nodded and closed her own eyes, giving his hand a squeeze and slowly drifting off to sleep.

Sam was up around 4:30-5 in the morning. He couldn't sleep anymore. He tried not to dwell on Katie's words but it was really hard not to. Everything he had regretted in his life had been pointed out.
It made more a shitty morning.

He sat down with a cup of coffee for once in a long time and opened up his laptop slipping in the USB they had recovered from the bank. He saw he got an email though, and he opened it promptly.

I got reports that someone broke into the Swedish National Bank Vault after shutting down their server. Death Toll was around eleven.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, because I KNOW you would NEVER do something like this, or kill eleven people without the order of Fifth Freedom---

Sam smirked. Lambert was a sarcastic asshole.

But if it links back to so Fisher, Third Escelon is not covering your ass. I don't know what the hell kind of break this is, but its sure as hell costing a lot of lives.
Keep it tight. That's an order.

Sam sighed roughly and chose not to reply for now.

Annika woke up a little bit later then Sam and came out still in her sleepwear. She smiled a little bit and walked over, sliding her hands over his shoulders and massaging only slightly. "Good morning." She whispered, feeling the incredible tension that he was holding in his shoulders.

Sam exited out of the email quickly and frowned. "Morning." He murmured softly, starting to open the files and decrypt them. "Wanted to get a headstart. It'll take most of today just to decrypt them. Might have to have Grim have a go at em."

Annika nodded. "Can you trust her?" She asked quietly, her hands still just working slightly, gently on him.

Sam nodded. "I've been working with her for about three years. If I don't tell her what its about then she won't prod. Hopefully." He managed softly. He leaned back into her hands. "How did you sleep."

Annika shrugged. "Well... you were restless last night." She whispered to him softly.
