"I just... have not... um..." Jacqui paused for a moment. "It was just a surprise is all..." She whispered to him.

Mordecai felt Kali shut down but he didn't regret what he had said. They were all in this together. He knew she was uncomfortable, but avoiding the situation wasn't going to help any. Especially if they got in trouble. He was a bit concerned after she had virtually felt nothing for Cyron or his situation. He wanted to get her to open up, not close off. "I love you." He finally said.

Fixer nodded. "My clothes are in the bag if it bothers you. They're just over there." He pointed.

Kali looked over at him. "I love you too," she whispered. She leaned over and kissed his cheek, but got up. "I'll be back in a bit. Forgot about something I should check." She waved slightly and slipped out the door.

Jacqui shook her head. "It shouldn't bother me." She said softly. "It doesn't...." She looked over at him and smiled a little bit.

Mordecai sighed a little and lay back, deciding to let her go. He was worried but he figured she needed to be alone.

Fixer smiled a little. "We should get some sleep then." He said softly.

Kali slipped down the hall to an empty room. Part of the roof had fallen off, leaving it open. There was a bunch of buckets there, collecting water. But Kali slowly sat down against the wall, watching the clouds go by.

Jacqui nodded and smiled a little, relaxing down into the matress and blankets. She still thought it was a little awkward with him being naked, but she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Mordecai didn't find any sleep, worried about Kali. He sighed and tried to close his eyes, wondering what to do in this situation. He didn't want anything to fall apart...
Fixer was asleep peacefully next to Eaves, not a worry in the world.

Kali came back well after midnight, slipping quietly into the room. She moved over to Mordecai and lay down on the edge of the mattress, folding her arm under her head.

Mordecai slowly moved his arms around her and kissed her shoulder before moving a bit closer and finally settling down.

The next morning, Kali was up early. She slipped out again and brought back a bucket of water, then vanished once more to find something for breakfast.

Jacqui stirred, having been used to waking up around then and she heard Kali move about. She slipped out of the bed and around the curtain to see what she was doing.

Mordecai sat up and yawned, seeing Jacqui. "I think she went to get us breakfast." He said, seeing how Eaves was looking for someone. "Is Fixer still asleep?"

The bucket Kali had brought in sat in the middle of the room, full of water with a long ladle across the top of it if anyone wanted some.

Kali wandered down the streets, trying to decide what to get them for breakfast. She hadn't usually gotten a morning meal when she lived here.

Jacqui looked over to Mordecai and nodded, moving over to the bucket and sipping on the water. "That is very nice of her." She said and looked back at Fixer. "Yes. He does not seem to wake up easily."
