"Jade? She's a fiery one she is, got a special gift or something." Mark studied Uthar, "What would you like to know exactly, she in trouble with the guild?"

"Not with the guild, but she is of personal interest to me. Do you know where I could locate her?"

Mark cocked an eyebrow, "Well, she can be found out in the streets, but she does work for me, she should be checking in soon. Why don't you sit back and have a drink till then, eh?"

I nodded slowly,

"Very well. Send her over to me when she arrives."

I payed for a mug of ale and with an incline of my head I returned to my previous booth. Took my blade from my sheath and lay it on the table. I quickly sank into the booth's bench and gulped away my ale while I waited for Jade.

Jade came strolling into the Black Pig Inn, her cheery disposition gave the whole inn a more cheerful outlook.
“Hello Mark.” She shot the bartender a flirty look.

Mark smiled. “What have you got for me today Jade?”

Jade pulled a purse from inside her tunic, “A rare treasure indeed.” Opening up the pouch, inside was a small ointment.

Mark studied the ointment carefully. “So what does it do?”

Jade laughed, and whispered. “If you apply it your body every day, woman will go madly in love with you.”

Mark’s eyes got wide. “You’ve never lied to me before, so I believe you.”

Jade pushed the pouch into Marks rough hands, and was about to turn away when Mark caught her arm. “There is a man from the guild here, he wants to see you.” Mark gestured over the were Uthar sat.

Jade looked slightly taken aback, but quickly composed herself. “What does he want?”

Marks eyes grew sad. “You I fear.”

Jade eyes grew hard. “We shall see.”

Gathering her courage she approached the table where Uthar sat, when she realized who he was she laughed bitterly. “It had to be you.”

I smirked a little and looked up at her.

"Would you like a drink?"

Jade smiled. "If your buying."

After Mark had brought a ale over Jade's voice took a serious tone. "So whats this about sir?"

"I have a potential job offer. I owe somebody a favour and I am required to create a distraction. This is where I require you. How good are your acting skills."

Jade raised an eyebrow in suspicion, "What kind of distraction are we talking about?"

"Basically myself and another will begin a fight, and I need you to cause it. Before you accept we need to know whether you can be trusted."

Jade's eyes narrowed. "Listen hun, whatever little scheme you and your friend are up to better be worth my while. And who else would you go to, one of those whores." Jade laughed. “Good luck darling, your going to need it.”

I paused and frowned at her a little in thought.

"What would make it worth your while?"

Jade smiled seductively. "Money is always nice, but Mark tells me your from the guild."

Jade lowered her voice to a whisper. "I know your not, so if i do this for you you have to do something for me in order to keep your secret safe."

"Why would it bother me whether you revealed my little lie?" I smirked.

"Lets just say the guild is not one to be messed with, there was a young man a few years back who pretended to be part of the guild. One night when he was drunk he slipped up, and we are still finding pieces of him every now and then." Jade shook her head. "And although you could try to kill me, well lets just say I'm more than meets the eye."
