This is a world full of adventure. People know magic exists and those who use it generally control one of Four Elements. Fire, Water, Earth and Air. There are many other forms of magic, such as darkness and light, but they aren't nearly as common. A long time ago there were ancient empires where some of these other magics were known. Perhaps someone is trying to resurrect these magics. Maybe they are trying to flee rebellion, or conquer new lands. The heroes of today could even be a mercenary for hire. That is yet to be seen.
Current Happenings:
Current activity has been slow, but that can be expected when less than a handful of people have helped make this group what it is today.

2 Years!!!

As before, it's a couple of days late, but as of April 14, 2008 the Four Elements group turned 2.I'm not one for writing speeches, or long news postings, so I'll cut right to the chase.
It's been fun so far. The group couldn't function without its moderators, Shadow and Light, and fuge_spazz, who helped build it to what it is now. The other regular RPers have been a great help as well.
The hopes for this coming year are to make it bigger and better. Expand the world, get more RPers, and build on the past to make it a more believable universe.

WAR MEETING GONE AWRY
During the previous week, our Majesty the King welcomed a group of esteemed guests to the Tirlunian palace to discuss the growing and dangerous situation in the northwest and the civil warring occuring in Galtar. The guests included the Queen and Prince of Galtar, and a few wise Valadrim.
The talks were interrupted when one guest, whose identity was miraculously revealed to be the Dragon Princess thought to be long dead, was kidnapped. She has since been recovered, but the perpetrator not caught.
Subjects of Tirluna, KEEP WATCH for a red-haired man known as Rupert. Report any suspicious activity to the royal guard at once.

"In the Lord's tournament, the semi-finalist 'Jacob' was revealed to be... a woman. She was taken into custody, but was helped to escape. Witnesses say that the man who helped her escape was a dragon tamer.
The previous rumors of a dragon tamer in the city appear to be true. But are there more than one? There is a new rumor that this fighting woman is a tamer herself. But a rumor that makes more sense is that she was a former servant of nobility in Anon.
Any sighting of either the male tamer or the woman must be reported to the authorities immediately."

The kingdoms of Anon and New Hanwen have been rallying their forces. They plan to fight the Valley of the Dragons, but no one knows when they will be ready to fight. New Hanwen has been offering aid to Anon, and it is not known if they will accept.

Sorry it's a bit late. The Four Elements is now 1 year old. Thanks to everyone who made it a great first year. I hope you'll stick around for another and continue to have fun, and I hope to welcome many new faces in the future.

I set up a brief description of the different magics in this world. When I brought in Kai, he brought with him several other magics I wasn't sure if I wanted to introduce, but I have.
Take note of where they are listed. Forbidden means you won't use it often if you some how have it, and lost means it's doubtful you'll ever see it.

Sorry everyone.
I needed to run a quick clean up of our players. I checked profiles, and anyone who hasn't been around for about 50+ days and has a character in our group was removed. This also has to do with the fact that none of them post either.
Any who return to activity can try to rejoin.
