Help & FAQ

Site Navigation

The site is divided into three main areas: Storytelling, Role-Playing Tools and Clans and Groups. Use the signpost to access the relevant area.

Storytelling

Storytelling focuses on player imagination and interactivity. Chat and forum environments allow players to interact and write a freely flowing storyline, either in real-time (chat), or over a longer course of time (forum).

It mainly works by posting, say, a paragraph or two of a storyline and then you wait for another player/member to respond and build upon the overall story. Players can explore and create their own fictional characters to use in these interactive threads. It's like turn-based free-form role-playing, but sometimes different clans or groups have their own guidelines or rules.

Of course, you can also just post a story or poem outright into the Poetry & Short Stories section without interacting with anyone, and seek feedback on your work(s).

Role-Playing

The Role-Playing section provides articles and tools to facilitate role-playing, or support the workings of storytelling. For example, you can generate character names, do some elven/drow translations, or read/contribute some articles for newcomers.

Clans & Groups

The Clans & Groups area is our catalogue of our member-created groups. You can seek to join these, meet others and play in different settings and environments.
